  1. Joe, Do you have gun shows in your area or close to your area? do a goggle search for gun shows and locations. Most, not all, gun shows will have a guy set up that sells hand made knives and usually he can sharpen and clean while you wait. Take your knife to him, let him sand the pits out, and put a sharp edge on it. after he is finished the only thing you should have to do is strop it when needed cost in my area would be around $20.00

  18. I buy the 32 oz [ 0.9 kilogram] for around $7.00 usd or you can buy Resolene 4oz [1.1 kilogram] from a leather supplier for $6.00 usd your choice. Found out something else also. paint resolene on the edge of scrap of chrome tan. let dry then burnish tell me what you find out.

  20. Same thing if you are going to tool the leather or slick it tape the backside when dry. spritz the tooling side till wet enough to tool

When working with thin leather apply that white/yellow paper tape on the backside of your leather I am thinking that when you mark and punch your leather it is stretching. and that is what is causing your holes to be off I 100% tape the leather, before I cut it out, and leave the tape on the backside till finished

  23. suede is unsanitary. can not be sealed, it holds sweat and breeds nasty critters sealed veg tan does not hold nasty little flesh eating critters the difference is porous and non porous
