  1. If you want the exact size i believe I have figured that out Copper pipe is measured as nominal So a 1 1/2 pipe is 1 1/2'' OD which would make the ID or actual cut of the leather slightly off. But if you use a Fitting, such as a cap the id of the cap is 1 1/2''
  2. 1 1/4'' sch 40 black steel pipe is 1.660 OD [outside dimension] 1 5/8'' is 1.625 so. would a 1 1/4'' sch 40 blk steel nipple with a cap work as your 1 5/8'' round punch drive? the difference is .035 that is like a 1 /32 over

  7. I saw that, I picked up a set of the black chisels, so far i like them I did not eee the thread, and am in need of a different thread supplier When i order waxed thread i want waxed thread, not some thread that was made in a factory that had a candle in the window
  8. Beautiful belt. good craftsmanship , messy work bench, looks JUST like mine here is an idea for you. I have started installing grommets in the hole where the belt buckel comes through. I like the look, and customers ilk the idea the leather is not going to stretch at that point. You can also get creative by using contrasting colors.
  9. 6 plat braid is 6 piece of cord drill 3 holes in the stick thread each hole now you have 6 cords ends , braid the walking stick

  11. I gotta be the wise arse of the group. this is what I picture The first time someone goes grocery shopping the stuff is going to get set on your work station. Then a ''whatever'' will appear out of nowhere You will set it on the floor but the whatever's will keep coming one after another. A clean desk is a magnet for whatevers to lurk about. LOL Nice personal space. should serve you well Can I make a suggestion? go to home depot, they have some black yellow storage totes . you can stack 2 and they are the height of your work table. and will keep your leather projects clean , i put a 2'x4' plywood on top and use it as a cut station/ storage
  12. LOL LOL.ME TOO or #metoo and i have a thumb 1/4'' shorter than the other thumb and a index fingger with the tip missing. I know the ER guys by first name and have added them to my Christmas card list.
  13. do you have access to a belt sander? tilt the table on the sander that your work sits on up in the front, the degree of the bevel mount the blade on a piece of angle iron with a bolt in the center holding it to the angle iron slide the angle iron with blade attached against belt sander WHY??? a brass closet bolt??? the head is flat, will not impede the blade
