Ok I no nothing about this subject. But it looks like you want to make the hide soft and you do this by working the hide back and forth over something. So here's a stupid Ideawhat if you threw the hide into a tumbler with some smooth stones and let it tumble for a while. Like I said I know nothing and it was just a crazy idea that popped into my head
I would imagine any testing you do would have to take years for any significant results. You might find something that works , only to find a year ot 2 or 3 later it all falls apart.Good luck tho let us know what you find.
That would depend on how high you set the power on the laser. Could be anywhere from light brown discoloration of the leather to a couple mm or more depth. A good dark black graving approx 1mm deep. this one less then a mm
I would say an alignment problem . If you really want help go to the laser section on Sawmillcreek these guys know lasers and I'm pretty sure they will have a better answer for you.

You see how you addes the tree to the strap you could do that with your number in the lower rt corner . Make it at home take to shop and just glue it on.
Ah yes your are correct the first pic is a Ruger. I stuck my P95 for a test fit LOL a Glock 22 and my P95 are close in size.The last pic's are with his Glock
