  1. I think Javalina are protected
  2. My fear would be putting a rivet thru any kind of rubber or silicone tubing will rip out in short order. I think wrapping several winds of a strong thread would work better. JMHO
  3. I can just dream of doing work like this.

Its a Beautiful and thoughtful gift and I'm sure they will appropriate it. I spend a lot of time with my best friend his wife and their dogs I love Photography and Dogs are fun to photograph. When their Irish Setter Passed I looked thru my Pictures of Her and found a nice one and made a large canvas print for them. They loved it and hung it in their home office.

Beautiful work and welcome to the forum
  6. Nice repair job looks awesome. 1 thing if I may. I think I would have sewn the D rings and velcro I think they will get a lot of pressure on them with you putting your feet up and down all the time and eventually I think the rivets might pull out. Just my thinking.
  7. I have no experience with lightburb or grbl I do all my design work in Corel Draw and then transfer to laser. Theres a free program called Inkscape that you can design in and then transfer to laser. Don't know what format these diodes need. I don't think any design software is super easy to learn, they all have a big learning curve from what I can see. looking at this pecker 1 you guys know that for about $400 you can get a Co2 40 watt laser engraver cutter that will do all you want to do and more and probably easier to learn . Theres a ton of people on here using co2 and will be more then happy to help you thru the learning curve. There not hard to use and do a better and faster job then any diodes. just my 2¢
  8. Looks really great That letter A looks familiar , like from a White Collar episode
  9. 3D laser printer is what we have it's just a co2 laser engraver cutter. Don't fall for the BS glowforge tries to feed you.

  14. yes if theres a lot of small detailed areas weeding is a pain, thats why I prefer a couple coats of sheen or resoleane or 50-50 mop& glo just wipe off with a damp rag
  15. they have masking for leather laser engraving . https://www.jpplus.com/paper-masking-for-laser-engraving?sku=LASGLASS-RL&gclid=CjwKCAjwyqWkBhBMEiwAp2yUFl8C-m5maK7vB28ItOYHTHuE8oFPygbYEku18pAWWlNt5BfUYe5HThoCsTwQAvD_BwE But I usually put 2 coats of sheen or resoleane on before engraving , then 99% of the residue wipes off with a damp rag
  16. masking will make a huge difference in the afterburn and very little clean up if any.

  19. I have a piece of deerskin with what looks like mold , it doesn't smell moldy but has blotches of light blue discoloration . Killing the mold is pretty easy with Vinegar or Hydrogen Peroxide but will it damage the skin? and How to you get rid of the discoloration? I want to line a purse with it
