  1. Holy crap that came out awesomeReally nice job
  2. 1. Its way over Priced, you can get a much better machine for less money. 2. Its cloud based you need internet to use it. WHAT!!!! who ever thought of this had a screw loose. 3. They tell you you have to use their preferred materials which are way over priced and totally BS. you an use regular materials just like real laser use. 4. Their slow 5. They lie to you about their power ratings. They say their pro version which coswt close to 7K is 45 watts which is not true. its closer to 30 watts nominal out put 6. Their cooling system sucks, they tend to over heat and stop so you have to wait for them to cool down. 7. Their made of plastic and if theirs a fire( and lasers do catch fire) they burn your house down. Most real lasers have metal cases which have a better chance of containing the fire. 8. There's no Z axis I could go on but you get the idea
  3. If you want send me your proto type I'll work it up in corel and send it back in any format you need .
  4. First off never ever buy a glowforge OK Now and 80 watt Chinese laser like a Rabbit USA , a Boss Or Thunder will cut 7 to 8 oz veg tan leather no problem. Also it will do very nice engravings. I have a 60 watt co2 laser and it does all I ask of it, altho sometimes I have to make a second pass on 8oz veg. I cut and engrave all my knife sheaths and gun holsters and wallets on my laser. When hand stitching I leave about a foot of thread over the needle this give two strands of thread going thru the hole for the first foot and this cleans out most of the char. another thing I do sometimes is make the holes smaller then us a 1/16 dremel drill and then there is no char to dirty the thread. Also I oil and dye my leather then give it 2 coats of sheen before I cut out the Pat. This makes it very easy to clean of the soot with a damp rag. You can buy a 60 to 80 watt laser well under 10 K anything more then 80 watts and you loose engraving sharpness . Its hard to dial down the power for fine engraving , so 80 watts is max I'd get I like my 60 watts does it all pretty good.
  5. Your correct if I thin it 50/50 its much better
  6. it was an offer but I guess your all set
  7. should this be moved to How do I do That?
  8. yikes there plenty of Canadian companies that can make a stamp for you
  9. its so easy in corel and can be saved in many different formats
  10. I found Mop & Glow tends to crack when worked.
  11. So is it really to much to ask for someone to get back to you. You asked for help , I offered and even did a quick design to give you an idea. Then I heard nothing from you and I sent you a message to see if your still interested. You said yes and you would get back to me soon that was a month ago never heard from you again. Please don't bother us anymore.
  12. its sad when you have 3 hrs of labor 2 to 3$ of materials $4.50 in postage plus ebay fee's on an item that should sell for 35 to 40 $ but you sell it for 24 because of all the cheap crap others are selling and I end up making 12 bucks. Who in their right mind works for 3 bucks an hour?We do just because we love making this stuff.
  13. google is your friend
  14. Beautiful work there Rocky
  15. OK I get that , but I can't see were it would really add a lot to the cost of a small stamp, and if you can't find local then you have to go out of Canada. Also tho I can't see how you can not find someone in Canada, there has to be stamp makers there if not, I'm sure theres engravers there that can make a stamp. Its not that hard look fora metal engraver with a Rotary engraver or a fiber laser.these are 3 of many I found doing a search.
  16. Nice lookin sheath. I see you have a blade protector instead of a cut out in the sheath.
  17. why does it have to made in Canada?
  18. Looks pretty good but the belt loop could be better. I do mine like MTlBiker but I sew it . I don't like rivets were the knife might come in contact and get scratched by the rivet.
  19. I think thats pretty good for your first inlay belt. The tips the guys have given you are good ones, your next one will be a lot better, not that this one isn't good
  20. Very Nice good job. I have to make one for my P-95 sometime.
