  1. I'm not sure where you folks are located. But there is a few other guys that make them embossing plates. I know a couple that make custom made to order embossing plates. I believe the couple I know, use derlin lmao I don't think that it's spelled it right.
  2. I've had the same issue with the tri point needles on occasion. But if I pay close attention I can avoid it. If you want better odds of not cutting threads on back stitch, maybe try the spear point leather needles. Know as a "S" point.
  3. OK thanks. I have been painting in the stamping with a detail paint brush with super shene. But yes I have my hit & misses with that procedure. Lmao I'm not as steady as I once was.
  4. Yeah I would like to see pictures of the wallet insert you are using. So I don't look like a dummy or recommend the wrong thing to do. Lmao.
  5. SUP is reverse dying the same thing as resist dying? That looks nice. Looks great. Awesome work.
  6. Looks nice! Great work. Love it.
  7. Looks nice to me. I bet functional too. Great work.
  8. Copper for sure will get verdigris if it keeps getting wet & dry. But I think if a guy or gal used contact adhesive & folded the leather around the copper wire & sewed it it would be somewhat sealed from the elements. I think I'm going to try it at some point & see how it fairs out over time.
  9. I plan on making a hat from all leather, except for the lining around the head band. Then using copper or stainless wire around the brim. That way I can shape/bend the brim any way I want.
  10. Nice work. That's awesome. I have been wanting to make a leather hat like that. I would also like to put some type of wire around the brim of it so I can form/ bend it in any shape I want. Great work.
  11. Thanks @bladegrinder I appreciate it. Yeah this sewing machine stuff is all new to me. Lmao, Let's say I have went thru some thread practicing different things. Lol last time I touched a sewing machine was high school, & that's been quite a few years back.
  12. I also believe Weaver Leather has a blade sharpening service.
  13. @SUP go to Ragweed Forge Store, then go to Knife making, then pick Fittings. Then you will see all sizes of ferrules, bolsters, guards for knife making. You then will need to find a Ferrule that best fits your dimensions. To make the best fit of ferrule I would pick a ferrule a smidgen undersized then you can fit it to your blade & handle.
  14. That is how I got/made my 1st knife handle broach. But them Black Dragon Forge knife handle broaches are nice.
  15. Is there any chance you can get me dimensions of the ferrules needed. What the inside measurements are & the depth of the ferrules. Im willing to do some leg work for you & will try to find a exact match. Also a couple pics would help. Thanks.
  16. You won't need the knife broach if you don't plan on making a new handles. I miss understood & thought you wanted to replace the handles. But if you decide to fix that Rose knife handle, the knife handle broach will be needed to get the glue out of the handle after it is repaired. @SUP
  17. Any good metal worker or blade Smith could use some low heat brazing rod. Then they would build it up & sand it down. A guy or gal with good talent could easily fix it like it never even happened.
  18. Thanks. I appreciate it. I just happen to buy a bottle of that dye the other day. I really thought at 1st it was the oxblood color dye. Great work on them.
  19. Thanks. If want to do the job right & make it easier on you. I recommend you buy a knife handle broach. Either thru Alec Steele or black dragon forge. Or you can make one also. Also if you want new brass ferrules for the handles I know a place to get them. You can also repair & reuse your old ones.
  20. If you need more coco bolo, I got a bunch, just let me know.
  21. Yeah TomE I got her as a pup. She is around 80lbs now. She is my buddy for sure. From the end of the buckle to the tongue hole it is 16¾" inches.
  22. Can somebody say SEXY!!! Nice work. They look great. What color of dye is the holster with the Ruger lcp? Thanks.
  23. Lol it's beautiful wood. But I found out it makes me itch like crazy.
  24. Lol I would love to buy it, but that would be a fairly long drive for me. Still doable though.
  25. Get us some pics. I'll help walk you thru it. I'm sure other knife builders will chime in as well to the best attack plan. But pics would help a bunch. Thanks.
