  1. There might be too much oils & waxes in the bridle leather for the paint to adhere. You might need to use acetone on the letter areas to be painted. Take a piece of scrap bridle leather & stamp it, then rough & clean the area with acetone & let dry for a day then paint your letters/leather. Might need to use a solvent base paint to, I am not sure. But curious to see what the answer is.
  2. I think your issue with the wrinkles is this: Instead of gluing in your liner when it is flat, you need to glue your lining in when the outer piece is slightly folded/bent.
  3. C.s Osborne I know has a set up to 1" or 25mm. They offer this set up to 25mm.
  4. Ok sorry. I thought they both used the same threading path.
  5. Isn't his thread path thru the top tension disc wrong? Shouldn't it look like this? Granted this is a Cobra class 4, but I think the threading is the same.
  6. I bought the Cobra class 4 thinking I needed it first. But I am glad I bought it thou. It does all my heavy work.
  7. Really, really like the cobra class 26, I should of bought the cobra class 26 first off. It is great machine.
  8. Nice idea! I bet the ladies do like them. Great work.
  9. Yeah I am getting better at turning corners & machine sewing & keeping my stitches uniform. I did mess up 1 coaster corner, a 90° corner stitch, instead of a radius corner stitch. Thanks.
  10. Guys & gals I made a few small projects with some small pieces of left over leathers. A couple set of drink coasters made from 2 layers of 6-7vegtan. Then dyed with fiebings pro dye light brown & then oiled. Antiqued with dark brown gel & edge painted. Then I come up with some Bic lighter cases, with a key chain attachment. They are not much, but was good learning aids for using my Cobra class 26 sewing machine. Thanks.
  11. Nice work. It looks great. Great color contrast with the thread.

Just curious. But what do your fold over teardrop shell key rings usually sell for? Sometimes the small goods are quite the money makers. Thanks.
  14. Nice work it looks great. Nice rig!
  15. I think you are using way too small of needle for 135/138 thread. With 135/138 thread I believe you need to be using a size 22 or 23 needle size.

Nice work. Looks nice. Is that a concho or actual shotgun shell base?
  17. I would look into the kinedyne hm-750SL Model.
  18. Looks nice. I say you did a swell job. Love the sunflowers.
  19. You might call them, & they might be able to order it for you. I think every 4 months they order new stock/ out of stock leathers.
  20. Check Rocky Mountain leather supply
  21. Slickbald customs has a bunch of different patterns. There is a ton of different guys to get patterns from. You can also buy Blue Gun molds of the particular firearms you want to make holsters for. I would strictly stay with veg-tan on making holsters. Couple guys on here got formulas for making holsters.
  22. Looks nice. Great work. I know you could probably market it on Etsy. Your bag pattern & carving pattern.
  23. Look into the Tandy Lil buckaroo saddle. It is a pattern that tandy had for a scale down saddle. Might be perfect for your wooden horse.
  24. I'm thinking the small lever changes the thickness of cut you want to make on your leather. Might not want to get real crazy when giving it new life. Might be worth more in it's natural state.
