  2. Goat skin should be ok I would think. There is also kangaroo if you want something a bit more fancy/priced.

  7. I just ordered a set of hand petal lifters from them today. I was hoping they were a legit company. Their tools look nice.
  8. Yeah they will get as fancy as you want on the handle too, they offer a round & knurled handle with a striking head. I'm sure at a extra cost of course. If you are looking at the steel stamp logo, your stamp is right side up. We will see what my main stamp looks like as soon as it shows up. Then I'll post up some pictures of them.
  9. Bam! Big ole block of tool steel. Got my small makers stamp. Lmao I was burning their phone up when i noticed only 1 stamp in the box. Lol they found it on the work bench & forgot to ship it. Whew! I was about to freak out! Here is a sneak peek!

  13. Thanks for the dye tip. I just ordered some light brown & some mahogany pro dye. I'll try your color combo out. It sounds like it will be sharp looking.
  14. Well that sucks Frodo! Can you dip dye it black to save the project. Or maybe dark brown? I recently just order 1 of them cordless airbrushes. Lol might be a $90 boat anchor for all I know. I'll keep you posted or start another thread.

  17. Thanks Ddat. Yeah I figure the only way to learn is to pick the tools up & start practicing. Lol I got a lot of finesse work to practice & I definitely cant draw. Lucky me for tracings & tap-offs. I'm slowly learning. Thanks again for the encouragement.

  19. Thanks. Yeah I got carried away with my decorative cuts. & yes mine are too straight & too many. I was wanting to try a leaf liner on it, but decided not to. Yours looks great, by the way. Yes I take suggestions, as a learning process so feel free. Thanks for the input.

  21. Guys & gals here is my 1st tooled oak leaf. How bad did I do? Yeah there is mistakes & I got a lot of learning & practice to come. I found out I want a set of hand petal lifters, I do better with my homemade lifter. Thanks for looking.
  22. To me it looks like some form of a antiquing process. But you could easily get that effect with a airbrush. Nice looking hat. I like it.
  23. Lol no worries here! I like all input regardless of what it might be about. Yeah there is just something about Damascus, that is almost mesmerizing. I'll keep you all posted if I decide I can afford the Damascus half round knife.
