  1. Super nice....and all the good colors!!!>> orange, black and white!!!! Harley racing colors !!!!!!!!!
  2. I second that, always try to thread the thread into the needle eye and see how loose you can move the needle from one end to the other...that thread needle combo should be fine. In your case, I think it is more a top tension problem....knots coming op, loosen top tension, knots visible on bottom...get more top tension....that's all there is to it.....very seldom you have to mess with the bottom tension!
  3. I have seen your other work and I know you are a master of the masters in leather art...but this saddle is a step up, if there can be one at your level .......guess what I am trying to say is: You are an amazing artist and you are the most artistic leather craftsman here on this forum!!! Greetings Jimbob
  4. Consew machines are a solid stable in the upholstry business, you find tons of feet and attachements....I have an Adler 105 for big stuff, an Adler 267 for light stuff, like wallets and such and finally an Adler 30-10 for the odd stuff.....just as Wiz said...now I am all good...or am I....haha... Remember, one machine cant do it all....and you never can have to many sewing machines!!!! James
  5. Nice belts, I do a lot belts like this on my Adler 105-64...love top stitch on belts and straps! Pay close attention to your top thread tension, on these pictures it seems like your knots trying to come up to the top!! Which would mean your top tension is a bit tight or to big of a needle... Well done!! James
  6. No more holding back here.....you need to show off more...!!! Very clean and nice work....thanks for sharing!!
  7. To much gun exposed in my opinion, remember I am a beginner in holsters.....but I think a small light weight gun as the LCP is accidently coming out of this holster in no time....it needs to have more holster on the slide side to be safe.....Love your finish and the style, also like it to be an open bottom holster.....no debris in barrel and no moister to collect....love your stitching!! Snap on rigs are not safe in my opinion....but easy to take on and off....again, as said....customer is king, what ever they like... Remember me just getting started, so take it with a grain of salt.... James
  8. Hell fire and Marsian cookie dow...brother....if this is your first attempt...I like to see your second one !!!....and ur third one and ur fourth one and....well u get the idea!!!!! Super nice!!
  9. cool strap, like the details and color.....just getting a bit more into guitar straps myself...well done!!
  10. Super cool, super nice design, super color, super stitching....Dude that is super!!
  11. Do yourself a favor, stay away from ebay!!!! Call Steve or Toledo Bob, they all have these machines tested and sewn off...yes maybe you save 200 bucks, but down the road when the ebay dude long forgot your name....these dealers on here will help you in any way they can! Jimbob
  12. Same here, got some nice HO craftsman sides from Springfield in 8-9 oz....allmost impossible to cut with head knife, I am now using a shoemakers blade...still hard as it can be to cut....tends to slip and can ruin ur day in a hurry!! BUT it molds most wonderful arround any gun!! Not sure what causes this...its not age, I have some sides for 3-5 years here and they cut like butter!! I am sure this has to do with the tanning, my guess it has been sped up or something chemical added to it....this would change the consistency of the fibers...?!!?? Not sure... Only solution, super sharp knife, super careful and talk to the supplier....they need to hear what we need or not like!! My 3 cents... Jimbob

  17. you da edge king!!....wonderful work!!
  18. thanks a bushel for all the good info....will have to down load the repair manual....seems to me when it works forward (timing....why does it not work backwards...?) same needle position to hook....just different turning direction...hmmmmm...?? Will see what I can do, so far this has ot been a big issue.....but it needs to be fixed. Again, I will check on the manual and report back! Greetings to you from me... James
  19. My dear Adler 105-64 startet skipping stitces in reverse....then more, and some more.... All is well in forward motion, no problem there....feed dog is tight, needle is new, and it stitches exactly back into the needle holes....if it sew sperfectly forward, it could not be the timing, wonder what efects the reverse stitching to skip stitches so badly... Seems if I go a bit faster in reverse it does better....but no need to go fast in reverse. Maybe some of you all have an idea.... Thanks for any info... James
  20. will that roller foot fit on an Adler 105-64....? Or is there another roller foot for this Adler available...?? Thanks
  21. getting a 1911 full size soon, wonder what styles of sholder holsters are there...? I seen only the cross trap version from holster to actuall harness, one front one back....is there any other better way to make a shoulder rig...? Any good pictures, ideas.... thanks so much James
  22. Cool, sick....wow!! Yeahhh and I love skulls!! Nice work dude!!!!
