  1. Well it is your choice if you want to give your patterns away. Some of mine i don't mind others i'm not going to give away. As far as that person living close to you anybody that has a computer might as well be setting next to you in your shop trying to sell what they have made with your pattern. They have the same chance to sell it as you do on the internet. The word is your market now and theirs to.
  2. Sew some scrap and if it looks good leave it alone. I'm guessing that no matter who's machine a person buys they have adjusted the tension and sewed on it before they send it out.
  3. Measure one if it's handy and make a pattern. Why does it have to be the same size ? You could just make a pattern for one the size you want. I'm betting most people are not going to know what your talking about anyway if you talk about the bag in the picture.
  4. A gorilla pod may be good for some things but in her case i think a regular tripod would work alot better.
  5. You could make a pattern with your holes in it in the different widths and mark your holes with it. If their wrong you can make another pattern.
  6. The way you it in the picture is right just push the lever down. Wind it counter clockwise. When i have a empty bobbin i fill it while i'm sewing something else. It will stop on it's on when full. You can leave up there till you need it.
  7. Kevin their easy to wind. Put thread through the hole in the bobbin leave a tail sticking out turn the bobbin toward you a few turns, stick it on the shaft put the leaver down and sew the lever will pop up when the bobbin is full. On a couple of bobbins i have i need to take the tail coming out of the bobbin and slide the tail in slit on shaft and start sewing.
  8. I won't ever understand the math part your talking about ! But looking at the pictures in the book and seeing them, things make sense to me. Thanks for posting the link to the book.
  9. Hi Tresa, their several really good braiders here for sure and several members from Australia to. Look forward to seeing your work.

    Restored Sulky

Lois you did a real nice job on restoring it !! It looks great and you have done something to be proud of !!
  11. It looks like a Ted Flowers saddle, but i'm not sure if he made white saddles. http://www.paradesaddlearchive.com/saddle.html
  12. Great job on your mask !!!
  13. Draw a straight line. Take a compass and draw your circles with the point on the line. Measure off of the line the distance you want the center piece to be to get the width. Like if you want the center bar a inch wide measure 1/2 on either side of the center line. Cut the pattern out poster board.
  14. Really nice work on the clock Crystal !! Who ever gets it is going to be very happy.
  15. I use a piece of trimmed sheep skin and put it over the evoo bottle turn the bottle over and pull the sheep skin across the mouth of the bottle and they turn out nice i think. You might try some lexol to.
  16. Nice job ! The back reminds me of a Greatfull Dead album cover.
  17. On the checkbook covers i make the pocket is straight across on both sides. You can see the pocket a little in this picture.
  18. North and Judd were the makers for the anchor hardware i think.
  19. Looking at my needle chart it says to use a 26 / 27 needle for 346 thread. Not sure why you would want to use something that big anyway. The first thing i would try is to put the 277 on top and bottom or 207 on the bottom if you have it and see what happens.
  20. It should of come with a couple of little screws that fit flush with the buckle when their put in.
  21. The top one is a table of sorts. It sides on your arm. I'm not sure how fastens. The second one is a wax pot it fits on the top of machine in front of the top thread guide. You should see a couple of bolt holes. You put thread lube in it and run your sewing thread through it.
  22. Take one screw out and it will spin around.
  23. On most machines you can fill a bobbin while your sewing. All of the pre wound bobbins i have ever seen you buy a box full of one color need another color you have buy another box and that's fine if your using that color or the bottom thread wouldn't be seen. If i was you i'd just get some extra regular bobbins and fill them with the tread your using. On my smaller machines i have between 12 and 24 bobbins filled with different color thread plus they don't cost alot.
  24. I bet you can get a roller foot for your machine. Leave the lip a little wider sew then cut the extra off.
