  3. In the Mid-South, cloudy ,some sun......Temp in the sunshine is 101........temp in the shade is 92..... in my shop with air cond and fan i got it how i like it 68................
  4. THAT HURTS.........THERE IS AN INFORMATION SHEET AT TANDY OR USE TO BE , THAT WILL TELL YOU WHAT, FINISHES , DYES , ANTIQUES THAT ARE COMPATIABLE WITH EACH OTHER.

  12. better be glad the leather that you are using is not tanned in Mexico. try sealing the leather with super sheen........use the Preval Sprayer to spray with.
  13. tft that is the only one that i know anything about... buy the pattern......make a hat...........then start cutting, taking away or adding to it untill you like what you see. wish i was of more help to you.

McCellean_Saddle.bmpBarra, thanks for the info. if it is 1 1/4 x1 1/4 it might work. as you see on the photo this is where the will be placed. this is not the saddle i am working on, but one similar to it. I want to keep the riggin at the swell and cantle like the original. i do know that the older saddles did not have the dee's in them. McCellean_Saddle.bmp

Billy out of 28 years of going to the living history events or Rendezvous i have only lost ONE item. now i dont set up at flea markets , and dont want to. at some of these events there has been as many a 1100 campsites and as little as 40. so i guess i have been lucky or i dont go where there is not like minded folks.
  21. I WOULD LIKE TO ADD A .....CAUTION..... DO NOT BREATHE THE DUST FROM SANDING THE ANTLERS USE A MASK AND A FAN TO BLOW THE DUST AWAY FROM YOU....

  24. RICKYBOBBY.........THAT IS WHAT I HAVE FOUND OUT ALSO........IF THERE IS A WALMART CLOSE TO YOU, CHECK OUT THE PLASTIC CANTEENS THAT THEY SELL. I HAVE USED THEM IN THE PAST.
