  3. I'm trying to find hardware that doesn't rust! rivets, buckles, hinges, etc. does anybody know where I can go to get/find these type of things?
  4. Had neighbor lath a piece of hickory and I use it as a burnisher, mounted to a grinder motor.
  5. Duh! Simple shhtuff! Thanks Wiz! What state ya in, I'm in NC
  6. Thanks Bob, it still looks like a key would fit it, but I am totally satisfied with your answer!
  7. Today is July 1st, 2014. I received shipment of my CB4500 and I'm impressed with it! I did have to do minor adjustments to it but I expected to do so. I have always held the string on all my previous machines, how do I make it so the stitching at the start so it won't become unraveled?
  8. Just had my CB4500 delivered today, I'm totally impressed with it! I was just about finished with assembly and I noticed a lock on the motor. Does anybody have a clue what it's for?
  9. @ Red Cent, what thread size are you using on the belts!
  10. I understand how you guys feel, I live close enough to go there in person. There's only one guy running the shop and usually I just see two females doing other work there! Every time I walk in there he's running full-bore open! I understand that they service quite a few businesses so it may take time for me get them but I also understand people want their stuff like yesterday! Sorry you guys are having such a hard time but I am also understand that it takes time to run through orders when they run out they run out and there's nothing they can do, until whatever company that supplies them send the stuff they order to keep stock up. It takes me about 10 days to get stuff I ordered, and that's from anybody I order it from! so I understand the supply chain kind of gets in the way,
  11. What is the thinnest Leather a CB4500 will sew! Can it sew leather to make biker chaps or should I use something different? This might be a question with only one outcome.
  12. Also need to know - also wouldn't switching over to 220 burn up the motor faster?
  13. I have purchased a saddle stitcher that has a 3 phase motor on it. I was just going to remove everything 3 phase and replace it with a 110 powered motor. I'm also going to add a speed reducer for better control of the machine. Any thoughts or comments are welcome at this stage, before I remove the 3 phase motor!
  14. Thanks for the input y'all! Bob let me know that my CB4500 will be delivered on the first of July 2014. I have used many lightweight sewing machines and got tired of hand sewing (been hand sewing since 1973 - it became old that same year). I will admit that hand stitching is always going to be a part of me, but a machine will be used to speed up the process! Anything hand sewn is guaranteed for life (theirs or mine, whichever comes first). I'll keep ya updated, now I have to make room so I can rock this new machine!
  15. Square is also a great way to take payment for those who accept credit cards!
  16. Looking at your Cobra, where are you at?
  17. I'm on the verge of buying a Cowboy 4500, is it a mistake or is it money well spent? I looked around and settled on the Cowboy 4500 because of its 7/8 inch capacity. Is my decision to purchase this machine a wise one or should I cancel it and get something else?
  18. I use dawn detergent, hard cleaners are also hard on your health. Also use a soft bristle brush, but as far as Strong solvents go, leave em alone!
  19. Thanks loads, but I found out how to do this with a neighbors help, now I can rock n roll! Thanks much y'all!
  20. @ camano - how are they made, Tandy only has shotgun, I have looked!
  21. I have looked pretty hard for the brass bullet casing rivets, I would like to know who has them or pics and details on how to make them. Trying to fix a tool bag for a biker that damaged his. Any thing would be of great help!
  22. How or where can I find bullet casing rivets to decorate leather, I will make em if I can get pics and detailed information,
  23. Go to the phone store, or web site, then get measurements. Make a model out of pizza boxes, wood, foam or anything that is useful!
  24. Sorry y'all, where can I see one of these? I need a better method than the Stone Age one I use.
