  1. https://www.ebay.com/itm/123417296542 Looks like a good deal - lots of spare parts included
  2. Patcher motor mount (not mine)
  3. smartass mode on: uuuuhm - for sewing? - smartass mode off. It´s no too unsual to run a patcher with a clutch motor. Adler even had a clutch motor mount for their caliber 30 machines - will look for pictures...
  4. Not a 29K51 - 53 - it has a blade spring on the back side - the 29K5x subclass have helical presser foot spring it the head and no blade springs on the backside. I guess its an earlier 29K3 / K4 or the like. But its the later type treadle base.
  5. Your pictures are too big most likely. I think you have to reduce the file size.
  6. Holy smokes - I never have seen a 105 like this Seems to have triple feed. It looks to me like a binder machine or special application machine. But I doubt you will get THIS machine for 500€ or so. We don´t know how either machine is set up. It is well possible that "off the shelf" machines have been modified. Only 1 picture or just a class and subclass cannot tell how a machine is actually set up. Especially not w/o seeing good pictures. Honestly - go to the dealer and talk to them and test the machine, this is better than any advice. Don´t take the machine home and then find out - test it - a good dealer allows you to test machines.
  7. I doubt it is a 105 at all its rather an Adler 5 (predecessor of the 105). Dont trust the tag - if it has one. I even doubt that there ever has been a 373 subclass. 373 usually goes with Adler 67, 167 and the like but not with Adler 5 or 105. The Adler 105 looks different. It seems to have a jump foot system but the picture doe not tell the whole story. Do you have a side view of full front view? Foot lift usually is 12mm -14mm but when possible go and test it before you buy it. You never know if a vintage machine has been modified or not. If you need a German manual for the Adler 5 send me a PM and I can email you one.
  8. Have you sewn with the machine before the transport - meaning are you sure it had a longer stitch length before? It could also be possible that the throat plate (actually the length of the cut out where the feed dog moves back and forth in) or the stitch length lever limits the stitch length (same here - the cut out in the dial / scale where the stitch length lever goes up and down in could limit the stitch length) so it´s not necessarily a technical problem it could be a general setup problem. Pictures of your machine would be helpful.
  9. this rather sounds like a tension problem or do I get you wrong? I´d lower the top tension or increase the bottom tension. Not sure what the feed dog has to do with this?
  10. this may help you:
  11. Don´t know if you get a notification when you receive a PM - so please check your PM´s
  12. so when you have the 211 manual you have everything you need for adjustments. The manual gives you the order.
  13. This angled piece probably needs adjustment (see red arrow in my picture). Just loosen the screw push the angled piece toward the rock frame and tighten the screw again. I would do the same with screw # 20347AL and the stud # 2484237.
  14. it could well be that the tip of bell crank lever (see parts list) is worn or you have assembled the stitch length adjuster the wrong way - or both. Reg. stitch length adjuster: The gib the set screw is pushing against has a small wedge this wedged has to be upwards. The squared frame also has a wedge this has to be downwards. Hope you know what I mean - some pictures. The wedges give the presser foot bar room for it´s movement. See PDF attachment for the manual / parts list. 29k71-71-73 Service Manual and Parts List.pdf
  15. I have got a good lot of used and some NOS 29K patcher parts. Send me a message with what you are looking for and I check what I have or probably can give hints for alternative parts.
  16. I´m also wondering if there is a setup with speed reducer that makes the NP work. Trial & Error science - I love it... go on please
  17. The Adler 5-25 (not sure what the subclass "A" is) is a machine with driven top feed (with toothed presser foot) combined with bottom feed. BUT is it also possible to set up the machine as top feed only - seems your machine is set up this way. I cannot spot a feed dog. But it should be possible to install a standard needle plate and feed dog. The predecessor of the Adler 5-25 is the Adler 105-25 I attach a data sheet here. Presser feet are a bit of a problem for this machine as they are using feet with a special shank hight. Not sure how your foot looks like but they are usually toothed. I think I have a some accessories for this machine but most will not be suitable for holsters as this machine often has been used in for special applications in the shoe trade. I have to look for the accessories and send you a PM when I found them. If you need a manual google for Adler 105 manual (file is too big to attach here) l, the machine is the later model but technical features of then remained the same (not all but many). adler-0105-6-8-25.pdf
  18. if the broken off pice causes no technical problems I would glue with a good epoxy like JB KWIK Weld. I did that twice. Drill some holes in casting and the broken off piece fill them with JB Weld press in a bit smaller dowel pins put some extra JB and press the parts together. Advantage - don´t have to rip apart the machine no need to apply heat and no grinding off welding seams, its fast and a cost efficient DIY my 2 cents
  19. the wire thingies are spare brushes for the motor and the cork pas a brake pad for the motor I would say..
  20. We don´t know what you bought so some pictures would be helpful. "Sheet metal housing" could also be the oil drip pan. I guess you bought from a dealer, right? I would check with him.
  21. sounds a bit funny - you sold one too big machine machine bought another smaller one (from a dealer I guess since it is reconditioned) w/o knowing the capabilities? The dealer should have told you. Adler 69-373 can candle metric 130 / 140 needles but we do not known the subclass of your machine or how it is setup. If it is a binder machine (we don´t know what you bought) it could have a too small needle holes in the feed dog. Most binder machines are set up for 120 needles or smaller.
  22. The "wrong" oil will not kill this machine... I use 10w40 oil and this is the chain spray. I also use the chain spray on the the inside cam on my 29K71 and thread lever cam on 45D91 and on gears that usually run in grease filled gear boxes (like Singer 133K / 132K) . It´s just what I use not what the manufacturers recommend. I´m no lubricant scientist and i´m not smarter then the manufacturers - this is just what works for me.
  23. What is your background or what do you want to do at all? Do you run a business or want to run a business? Repair things, making phone cases, holsters or shoes?
  24. foot lifter, "gas pedal" and reverse I guess. Nice find! It last lots of similarities with the Singer 144 EDIT: Uwe was faster
  25. I also think the #6 loves a bit heavier oil / lubricant. I use clear synthetic chain spray on the cams and rollers and motor oil on the rest of the machine. I do not use standard sewing machine oil on the #6. When I restored my machine and did the 1st test it even ran smooth w/o any lubrication.
