  1. I understand that these bells and whistle motors are tempting to have them up and running but trust me - they can be a pain if they need support. I have tried it twice some years ago - no luck. Honestly - get rid of it an buy a new Servo motor! I think the higher class HoShing Servos can control some of the "Bells & Whistles" if you really need them. If not buy a plain Servo motor + speed reducer from one of the well known dealers. Its most likely cheaper than buying (probably importing) some of the parts and question remains - will they run? I also haven´t yet heard of anyone who was able to "revitalize" these od electronic clunkers for reasonable money. If you run a factory it´s probably a different story but as a hobbyist or small business these things are dead and not worth investing time & money. My 2 cents
  2. I haven´t darned anything yet I´m using ZZ for repairs. However, I think I will try my 34K for darning. I think for darning you need the momentum in that the presser foot is holding down the material or you have to put the material in a embroidery / darning frame (or what ever it is called). BTW - there was a darning attachment for Singer 29K and Adler 30 patcher machines - not sure if there ever has been one for CLAES patchers. AFAIK WIZ has one
  3. the regulator spring is a 2 piece spring. Your pics show the inner spring but there is a 2nd outer spring - do you have the 2nd spring too or just the one you have shown?
  4. THAT is a tricky part! You have to braze it or look for a 2nd machine. Spare parts are no longer available. It is pinned and you have to drive out the pin in the right direction otherwise you damage more parts. I have been looking for a 2nd machine for approx 1 year! Check with LW member Shoepatcher - he has tons of patcher machines and probably some extra parts. The part in German is called Herzkurve ("heart curve")
  5. Or try shrink hose on the presser foot. Regarding Teflon - you can buy Teflon sheets with an adhesive side - not sure if this helps you. https://www.college-sewing.co.uk/?s=teflon (scroll down a bit - they have different thicknesses)
  6. Original Singer parts are a lot nicer but you no longer can buy OEM Singer parts - some dealers may have old stock parts but good luck finding them. I have ordered one of the above mentioned sets for my 45D91 and the parts do work. They are as expected - functional but not beautiful. Well, they work and are well worth the money. I cannot speak for all Chinese parts but he above mentioned parts have good value for money ratio. I would buy them again.
  7. The Singer 45K92 is a flat bed machine - so feed dog and needle plate from the above set do not work but the presser foot will fit. Keep in mind that the 45K came as flat bed machines (like yours) and cylinder Army machines like the 45K91, 45K25 and so forth - that's a big difference! College Sewing in the UK has 45K flat bed needle plate and feed dog for a reasonable price: https://www.college-sewing.co.uk/store/Singer45KSewingMachineParts
  8. You need a lap seam folder that suits the leather you are using and your machine needs an changeable attachment plate or screw hole in front of the needle plate or you make a custom bracket for attaching it to the screw holes right of the needle plate Not sure if this one works but thats basically the design of a lap seam folder https://armastore.eu/a31-xh-lap-seam-folder They have lots of different lap seam folder, some are described ad "Heavy Duty" guessing they could work for leather too. https://armastore.eu/sewing/folders-binders/?guide_machine=534 But there are for sure suppliers in the US - just wanted to give you an idea. Lap seam folder are usually used with double needle machine but they come for different needle spaces so I`m sure you can use the for single needle machines as well. Or check with an attachment mfg. Co. like Atlanta Attachment Co. for custom making one that suits your needs but they are pricey I guess.
  9. Bonjour,

      Hello

Thanks for the message.  Only just read it !  I didn't get a notification :(  I've now bought a Singer 29k58 and a Claes Atlas.

Could you send photos of your machines anyway and with how much you're looking for, for each of them?

I'm currently looking for needles for my Atlas - they're like harpoons at 8cm long and about 2mm wide !

      Best regards

      Marronne

  10. looks like a tension issue or the thread is occasionally hanging somewhere. Check you thread patch and how the thread is coming off the spool. Post some pictures of your threaded machine please. It also could be that the check spring on the needle bar is worn.
  11. Either System 332 LONG needles or System 88 but 332 LONG has a slightly sticker shaft. So both systems are possible, both are ~ 55mm long in total. I have underlined 332 LONG because there is a system 332 as well (not long) which is 45mm long. Nice machine by the way - yet the Class 17 is one of the few patchers I have not sewn with. What is the max stitch length this machine can do? My Class 18 was babel to sew phenomenal 8.5mm long stitches.
  12. No idea - I´m sorry!
  13. Hope you know what I mean Some Adler 4 / 5 / 104 / 105 and I´m sure some Singer 45K also have a roller on the cam for controlling the jump foot system on certain machines
  14. There is a tappet or roller on the cam that drives the needle bar and thread lever. This tappet / roller controls the up an down movement of the presser foot. Note the piece that is attached to the presser foot bar and to the "plunger" that goes up in and down in the large hole on top of the machine. I think I can shoot a picture of my 34K machine as it has the similar system ... give me a few minutes...
  15. To my best knowledge this only works on machines with permanent wheel feed or oscillating feed dog (feed dog that goes up and down and back and forth) but not on "binding" machines that have a feed dog that only goes back and forth (not oscillating) as the Pfaff 335 or Adler 69.
  16. Probably something wrong with your hardware or internet connection? Just made a DSL speed test I have approx 1300 kbit/s upload and approx 12000 kbit/s download on my end by wire - no WIFI. I have no serious problems, all works fine so far but probably depends on how many users are online at once. Maybe first Brexit wires already cut?
  17. I´m using this one for ever: https://www.bricelam.net/ImageResizer/ works over context menu - very simple and easy to use
  18. I only see a Singer 95 (I guess) - rest is domestic as far as I can tell
  19. Maybe this thread helps: http://leatherworker.net/forum/topic/77859-singer-241-11-stitch-regulator-jam/
  20. Thank you I honestly hate to sell it, this was the best rebuilt I ever did - but - I have to be honest to my self, I will most likely never have enough work for this machine so the machine "rests" in the garage and is collection dust - that's not what it is meant for. I think since the day I finished the machine I have not sewn more than maybe 5 feet or so - sad but true. I barely sew heavy leather. I mainly sew webbing and canvas so it is like "pearls for the pigs". So it will serve a serious leather worker, saddle or harness maker better than me. The stand can be sold separately but It cannot be shipped over the pond to the US or Canada - I´m sorry! Due to size and weight the stand can only be shipped inside the EU by freight forwarder or we talk about personal delivery (depends on location) or pick up. So if someone inside the EU is interested in the stand drop me a note. It has an attached work plate and has the original heavy cast iron motor mount.
  21. last pictures it tooooo small - not sure but seems the spring for the thread lever is missing (+ maybe the small stud and thumb nut?) - not sure.... See attached picture if you have problems with imgae sizes check out "Image Resizer 3.1.1 for Windows" - if you have a Windows system - I´m using this for years. https://filehippo.com/de/download_image_resizer_for_windows/ EDIT: sorry - have not read your 1st post Not sure where you looked but these springs are rather cheap: https://www.college-sewing.co.uk/store/82219-CHECK-LEVER-SPRING-SINGER-29K
  22. I decided to sell my fully restored DVSG / BUSMC #6 HM. It is the head incl. bobbin winder + some some accessories - see below pictures for details. This is the later model with stitch length adjuster near the driving cam !!! I have restored it by my self and I striped the machine down to the core. I have touched very single screw! I thoroughly cleaned all parts and the casting incl. cast iron parts have ben cleaned in an electrolysis bath. Then I repainted everything in nice green / olive drab shade. Some parts have been replaced with New Old Stock parts I found in Great Britain. Machine has the wax pot for the top tread and comes with the following accessories: Bobbin winder, 1 shuttle, 2 bobbins, 2 presser feet (1 double toe on machine, 1 left toe extra) parts tin, approx 15 needles, some spare screws, oiler holder, bracket for flat bed attachment (the curved piece) some tools and a few other bits - I can also include an edge guide which it´s not OEM but I think you can make it work for this machine - I never installed it. See pictures. Oh - and there is a sharpening stone is for deburring the needle tips - just for the case. The brown thread on the bobbin winder is not included but I include some heavy polyester thread of approx size 207. The squared piece in the upper left side (last picture) are for inside the wax pot AFAIK. Bobbin winder wax pot is included too - of course. I never have used either wax pot so they are clean. I put an extra tension unit on top of the bobbin winder because I had a thread stand for industrial thread cones and figured winding the bobbing works much better with the tension unit I also have 2 PDF manuals - one original scanned and one digitally reworked. Treadle stand is NOT included. I take Paypal. I can ship to USA,Canada and the whole European Union incl. Great Britain. USA & Canada: Price Including UPS shipping in a custom build cerate: $1750 / 1500€ EU & Great Britain: Price Including UPS shipping or freight forwarder in a custom build cerate or on a palette: 1350€ Above Price expire on Jan. 31 2019 because right now I have a UPS shipping voucher which expires at that date. So shipping has to happen before that date. Later shipping will cost more. If interested or you want to see more detailed pictures / need more information send me a PM or ask here. I will post a YouTube video later.
  23. I have sent you a PM. I´d recommend opening a new topic, post some pictures and explain the issues. I have some experience with CLAES patchers and a few others LW members too
