  2. Thanks everyone, didn't know there we so many sources for clips. SkipJ
  3. Does Crossbreed sell clips? Who does sell IWB type clips? SkipJ
  4. I switched from PC to a Mac. I'm happy with the Mac, there is a learning curve with them, more than I expected, but a lot less headaches. I've got a virus program now, Comcast provides it, but I had no problems before that, had it about one year. You do pay more for the computer, but I hope they are well made. Less programs available, but it depends on what you need. I'm happy with the support from Apple, I live near a Apple store and take the free classes they offer. I have boot camp so I also can run windows if there is a program I just have to run. I boot it rarely. SkipJ
  5. Thanks for sharing, good idea. SkipJ
  6. Has anyone tried a mat cutter for this? It seems that they are set to cut at 45 degrees. I've used mat cutters but never on leather. SkipJ
  7. Thanks all. SkipJ
  8. When I took a swivel knife class from Chan Geer at Wickenburg, he had us wet the carving leather with a sponge front and back, then place on our stamping stone to case. I seemed to work quite quickly. SkipJ
  9. I can't seen how the jig works. Too dark a picture on my screen. Is it just me? SkipJ
  10. Cardboard wheels? First I've heard of them SkipJ
  11. Thanks I hate to give up. Perhaps I can find what I'm doing wrong and share. I wonder if any one else has had trouble using a maul? SkipJ
  12. I've had no luck using my maul. I seems to drive my stamps sideways when I use it. Perhaps I need to use it more but it's frustrating to use. If I try to stamp basket weave along a guide line, the stamp always seems to make it's impression off the line. I have assumed that this is caused by the maul hitting off center. Since the maul is tapered in one direction and curved in the other, it's hard to hit the stamp square. Obviously, I'm doing something wrong. I can't believe they would be so popular if everyone had so much trouble. SkipJ
  13. I contacted Kevin at Springfield leather and he replied: Hi Harold, I do have them… # is 114-43, and they run 1.79 ea. Let me know if we can be of further help… Thanks, Kevin So they are available. SkipJ
  14. Purdy gear sells holsters and belts, her site has examples of the style she makes with a description of the carving style she uses. Her site is: www.purdygear.com SkipJ
  15. Just adding my well done to the comments. I have several "professional" holster making videos, and yours is equal or better than most. God Bless, SkipJ
  16. Thanks Steve, I wouldn't sell them myself. You said you "added them", and I wasn't sure what you meant. SkipJ
  17. Where? Are you selling them? SkipJ
  18. Look into the source on the video. SkipJ
  19. I have one of Hawkwolf's chains, it's held up well and hand make. SkipJ
  20. Wouldn't a seeder make a round depression? Perhaps Barry King, or one of the other tool makers, could make something, . SkipJ
  21. Art, Yes, you've answered my questions. It's interesting that they aren't made as leather machines. I can see where a good distributor can make all the difference even without the support angle. So it seems the importers do put some parts ("changing parts") in. SkipJ
  22. Art, What do the distributors get from the manufacturers in China? Is the stand and feet part of the package? How can an importer make improvements on a sewing machine, any more that a auto dealer can make improvements on a car? They can add accessories to it,but don't change the basic car. Just thinking aloud, wondering if I follow you right. SkipJ
