on the example of tooling leather - personally, I think HermannOak and WIckettCraig leathers are the top. Despite of 'each' country having tannery doesn't mean they are competitive. btw - the leather industry we use to create our goods is alive because of traditions and vision - otherwise mass market fitting would be the wrong way to go.

wrong - you can charge whatever you want. it all depends on a craftsmanship, material quality, work execution etc.

let's be honest - not many of us use scrap and/or precut pieces. yes, it's helpful when we need some, but mostly... this brings to another point - if we can buy the best tooling leather directly from the source, why pay 2/3 grade for the same price or even higher? keep in mind that distributors will always get their bucks on reselling for a simple reason - they buy in bulk and on lower prices

quite simple - not enough conditioning - it just got too dry same here -
looks like bites. no way and a reason to fight. just get a ggod leather. Wickett Craig is good (one of the best leathers) to work with. 9$ per foot for the top quality. Go get it now )))
