    Thailand Tannery

on the example of tooling leather - personally, I think HermannOak and WIckettCraig leathers are the top. Despite of 'each' country having tannery doesn't mean they are competitive. btw - the leather industry we use to create our goods is alive because of traditions and vision - otherwise mass market fitting would be the wrong way to go.
  2. agree with Richard - you won't lose with buckleguy's items quality and pricing
  3. wrong - you can charge whatever you want. it all depends on a craftsmanship, material quality, work execution etc.
  4. wax works like an additional magnet for the dirt. @Mocivnik share some examples in the photos
  5. it's worth to buy couple of Stohlman's books - there are picture and explanation on the tools
  6. let's be honest - not many of us use scrap and/or precut pieces. yes, it's helpful when we need some, but mostly... this brings to another point - if we can buy the best tooling leather directly from the source, why pay 2/3 grade for the same price or even higher? keep in mind that distributors will always get their bucks on reselling for a simple reason - they buy in bulk and on lower prices
