double sided tape

It's a not true actually. Hand sewing is more effective for the strength. True - copper rivets because of construction type, mighty ones - but limited in colors. Double or single cap rivets can be and used for the layers of leather that aren't much used for tension. It all depends of product type - is it going to run a hard life or not ) Watch strap/cuffs, some bags etc. It's physical - you can use double cap rivets on a simple belt, but putting let's say 6 pcs - you won't be able to 'break' such belt, but having there just 2-3, won't be called 'heavy duty' one more example - I would use handsewing for the strength and cap rivets for decoration on dog collars..

i know that can order directly from tannery. but ordering 6 colors by 3/4 oz will make around 1.5k and i'm looking for a project pieces to give a try on my project. if it works, of course I order directly from tannery

haven't seen such yet wider variety.. as far as I know, they can do custom (for the money of course some minimums) - talk them any of those in asia area (china, thailand etc.) manufacturers also can process your 'custom' stuff. do a research. good luck

US shipping of course. SLC and similar doesn't carry such stock. The only way to get those items either from WC directly or Buckleguy (they have 3/4 and 8/10 oz WC leather) or people who use such thickness and mentioned type.

Latigo leather strap supplier?? I got poor quality for my current one
nrk replied to Jeepgirlamy's topic in Suppliers
feel for ya have you tried any of tanneries directly? HO requires bulk order, but Wickett and Craig's leather is also wonderful and they sell a side (as no minimum). Haven't tried latigo type, but expecting to be as good as their tooling and bridle. btw, buckleguy have straps also -
not always - moreover, such business model is not healthy firstly to a business owner in long-term perspective. couple bucks 'now', doesn't fix none applicable business model on distance run and as a rule ends up with negative reputation and customers, loss of more than couple of bucks etc

yeap, happened to me also. you can get directly from WC or HO - WC have no minimums, but HO does.. there are also thelatherguy, maverick etc. there was a topic, which has been closed recently you know, guys, we are all here to communicate, some have positive , and some have negative experience with the mentioned supplier, but insisting that 'paying a banner' means we have to be loyal and tolerant to a supplier, who does mistakes and shows careless on regular basis and not once a year.. not reasonable enough - we spend money, we spend time, some spend nerves and some are cold - but truly 'careful' and professional supplier won't push crap and non-usable materials to a customers no matter a customer is a pro or a newbie.. personally, I've shifted to WC in order to get a good leather, having a negative experience (not a month or year, but much more, with SLC) remember - we're talking about leather, not other products they sell (however I did received a lack of screws for the floral carved belt sets, or ordering one kind of stamp and at a result getting another) paying a banner doesn't mean we have to be zombie slaves

Hi Friends. I'm in need of "3/4" oz WC ENG Bridle leather in all 6 regular colors (Black, Dark Brown, Med Brown, Tan, Chestnut, Burgundy), but not hides, bellies or sides - usable 24x24" or 30x30" (inches) pieces without belly part. I guess not many of you would have those 6 in the mentioned thickness, but could be 3-4 colors as well. Any support on getting this highly appreciated and receives + to the karma )) suggestions or tips are welcome nrk

buying a side from SLC is also a tricky )) lol
-
it's not a good way to make a business for SLC (and others ) to earn couple dollars, to face a customerS, who are not satisfied, because think (and they're right to think so) that they were treated not the best way a CUSTOMER deserves, and then resend all that crap back doing monkey job.. shame for them and feel for u man..

have you tried buckleguy?
-
why not working directly with the tanner? beats up ANY suppliers shifted to Wickett & Craig and happy enough to work with them even ordering 1-2 sides btw are you interested in someone, who can join your team, bring/reach valuable results, dozen ideas, will and capacity to expand on a supplier level as well etc ?
-
definitely Wickett & Craig for the leather the rest - depends on what you want

there is no such a thing like judgement. yes, there are countries, where everything is based on law and very strict; and there are countries, where no one gives 'anything' to it What I mean, is just human being in it's base

there also someone behind 'grleather' - if you scroll the posts, you'll notice that all of the content do not belong to grleather or whatever is there anyone from the forum, who recognizes own products, and as a next step to push instagram to shut down the page??
