Quick cell case
plinkercases replied to plinkercases's topic in Purses, Wallets, Belts and Miscellaneous Pocket Items
To get the phone out I cut down the sides at the top. I have the same phone amd works fine but yes definitely a design consideration. As for belt attachment he asked for the basic slots in the back panel but if formed the channel with a loop stick so it is easier to feed the belt through. -

Munitions Division Bata Shoe factory badge
plinkercases replied to plinkercases's topic in Leather History
I have emailed the Bata Museum in Toronto to see what they say about it. -
I came into a batch of what was advertised as old cobbler's tools. Some hand made bits but 6-7 Obsborne tools in fine shape which i will post when i get good shots BUT this badge was the coolest... some of these tools may have been in the hands of a wartime shoemaker.

Thanks all. I find a real satisfaction in repairing folks' favourite tack... such personal and emotionally connected equipment and shame that a slight damage often means replacement.

I haven't had time for anything to involved but took a rainy Saturday afternoon to repair a friend's beloved show halter. Bar was broken and ring missing. So... split it open at the lap and installed new hardware, glued, stitched then a go with saddle soap and conditioner... turned out well for a few hours of me time.

holster Walther PPS M2 Pancake Holster
plinkercases replied to Sperrier's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
Great first go at it. For my outside stich lines I don't set them unitl Ive sanded and done a first burnish on the edges.. same with any creasing/beading which I then set to match the stich line distance from edge. -
