  1. With the deep colds this winter the area i kept my Neats foot got to fridge temp. Not frozen but... it is cloudy/congealed... will bringing it to room temp fix or is the oil "off" now?
  2. Paloma these look super.
  3. Lovely work Rohn as always thanks for the pics.
  4. Where are you located? I have a vintage swivel patrolman's holster in my box of oldies and it may actually be basket weave ( may not be the model or maker you are after though) I can check on the weekend
  5. Wow I am glad this thread came back to life. OP made a great looking saddle and I also love seeing old photos of leather workers doing thing deal.
  6. I have always had a plan in my head for a paddle version of a cell case. Good work on this execution. Easy on and off yet secure.
  7. Thanks Northmount and good luck Mandajane... there are some treasures there for sure.
  8. Very very nice sir. What is the finish you used?
  9. Thanks gents!!! Between those 2 simple adjustments i now have a very usable machine stepping high with an even gate! And no mechanic fees and dragging to 400kms to get it done.
  10. That's is very nice young man. As for the back ground I guess I am half and half... I like the texture just as I like pebble back grounds but there are areas where it get s little too "regular". I agree that the finishes will make a big difference and likely draw the attention to the skull where it belongs. Is it embossed? and what weight leather are you working on? As for getting better other than practice all I could add is that if you happen to be doing this blind folded it would get a little better when you use your eyes.
  11. If I was even just less than half a continent away (and a country) I would seriously consider but just to far. I am mostly saddened by the fact that there are no apprentices to carry on when the masters like yourself finally step back from the bench. Shame really. I hope you still stop into the forum to "toot" in every now and then. God Bless and may you get all the fulfilment you deserve out of the next stage of your life.
  12. Thanks I look forward to following your guidance here.
  13. Thanks brmax.... I will apply what I can but this model doesn't have a dial on the top....
  14. As I thought as well. I am not afraid of mechanical things since as you say they can be put back together (by someone at least!). More will be revealed.....
  15. Dikman thanks and yes I have these (but excellent link thanks) and suspect that while there isn't a specific fix fro the problem I have I can apply the lift height fix to the alternating walking lift issue. I think since this doesn't have the adjustment knob I need to look at this area.... I suspect the screw in the slot on the right but haven't had time to patiently fiddle with it. Stay tuned.
  16. I have a new to me Kobe 1541S (made by same as JUKI contractor so clone or rebadge whatever...) and the pressure feet do not lift the same height when walking. They do when lifted by knee or hand. I can find no info on how to adjust the walking lift of just one of the feet. The front or needle foot will only lift less than half the height of the rear foot when walking and this make it almost useless to me but I am sure can be changed somehow.
  17. very close... a coffee away perhaps
  18. Well that was easy...and just saved me comparing to my stamps...
  19. yes I googled best I can and searched the site best I cans so... Any thoughts, knowledge, experience on a signer 55W56? not intended for heavy material for sure, has roller wheel installed, but seems like a handy machine to have in the stable if the price were right. It is in a working shop and has been maintained.
  20. appreciating as has been said that this looks like a makers creation to their or a client specifications and without seeing the back... I would call it a bush craft thigh organizer....
  21. I don't actually. There used to be a 3D print shop nearby but it closed.... suppose i could hunt around for one.... i see what i can find tonight.
  22. I have a Pfaff 335 but no 3D printing capability.... could I buy one from you and you post it to Canada?
