Printing Patterns With Your Laser Printer?
Tina replied to ShortBBL's topic in Patterns and Templates
What I do is streching the glad wrap around tightly and I use tape on the back...Then turning it right and tape the printed pattern onto that. It works out really good for me and I don't have to try to find "the right stuff" way up here in the north:-) -

That leather can also be found in Sweden, This is from one of the supplier I'm using over here: http://www.slojddetaljer.se/deptlist.aspx?deptid=136&showAll=true The leather halfway tanned is called " Rårand/Norskt Valkläder" Now, there's another type here just called "Råläder/Lappläder" (Raw leather/lapp leather)and the usage according to the text might be just what you're looking for Ray: Råläder är ett helt ogarvat skinn. Det är utmärkt om man vill ha hårda fodral eller knivslidor. Skinnet blötlägges före bearbetning och återfår sin hårdhet när det torkat. Tjocklek 1,7-2 mm Translation: "Raw leather is totally untanned, it is perfect for that hard sheet/scabbard. The leather is put in water before being used/worked at and will recover the stiffness when dry. thickness 1.7-2mm." I hope this will give you some ideas :-)

If you're worried about the lifespan, why not get a metal stamp? I got mine from this place under $40: http://www.phillipsengraving.com/Leather_Stamps.html

Off course you can use it...I did "mock up" your background a wee bit in my cropping so you might have to change that back.
-
Or, if you want to play with the theme a bit, ad a "bear mark" :-)

Hi Ed...Just me that can not help but putting the logos in my photo program and I did some chopping and cropping:-) This is to give you an idea of other ways to make it with whatever font you like and still make it look clean:

Are you sure they're attached right/hard enough (or the right size)? I use Jiffy rivets (Belgium) and if I attache two pieces I can hang in them without them braking on me. I use a rivet press and it works beautifully:-)
-
Love it...Thanks Ray for putting a smile on my face this morning:-)

I bought my metal stamp from this place for $35: http://www.phillipsengraving.com/Leather_Stamps.html I'm more than happy with the imprint, price, service and turnaround time...I can not however say anything how long it will last, mine is just a few months old:-)

I have bought some Japan tools from ST leather to a very good price (+10 stamps for $3.39 each if I remember correctly, as of September-09) What I also like is that they have all these special stamps (celtic, and newer geometric, chainlinks etc) all sold one by one...Waaaaay better priced than other (no names) big suppliers:-) http://stleather.com/2008-P25.html http://stleather.com/2008-P24.html
