  1. I don't think any splitter is made to shave a small layer. You have to go from thicker down to the desired thickness.
  2. Thanks guys. I'll look into some different line drawing searches. I'm not so into the rose idea. Maybe I will have to just play and come up with my own style. We'll see.
  3. Maybe I should just go back to my old black on white roots. I used to draw in my teens. People always called it tribal though. It wasn't of course, it was mine.
  4. Ooooooo nice. I just got those colors myself.
  5. So, I got a little inspired by Don Gonzales' videos in YouTube. And I'm considering trying to tool again. But, I'm not really into the country and western themes. I thought about my English heritage, but nothing from history really survived. At least according to Wikipedia. I know there is Celtic and carving from Japan. But, where else? When I do a search in Google all I get is places to buy tools. Any insight? Thanks
  6. I think I like the square end.
  7. Hope ya didn't mind me throwing your name out there... I haven't seen Art on here in awhile.
  8. Here ya go. This guy sews them, but I have seen people say they just glue them with no problems.
  9. That's ok, it looks great for the whole "period" look. It's awesome.

  12. Fwiw today my local Tandy extended their Valentine's day sale to include not just red and ox blood but all the fiebings dye for $4.00 a piece. I bought 14 bottles. I should be good for a bit.
  13. That is a sweet design. It really flows.
  14. Just for reference.... Pro Dye = Pro Oil Dye They are one and the same. Fiebings is dropping the pro oil moniker for confusion's sake. It is the same stuff. A few years ago I emailed them about what was what. And that was their reply.
  15. That's a cool bag. We used to go to rendezvous. My dad's friend was into it. He got all his co-workers and buddies into it.
  16. Looks good.
  17. If you're going big? Go with clicker dies and a clicker press.
  18. They are nice, but I think they are horizontal.
