Thank you! As far as the buckle, I didn't think too much of it until I made the belt and put it on there, then it really caught my attention! The combination just really looks good, even better in person than in the photos! Buckle made the belt look good, and the belt made the buckle look better. Couldn't ask for anything more!

First tapered belt I have made, designed to fit custom buckle, along with design I did for a pair of key fobs.

Nice restore there.

Created a wheelgun holster: Let me know what you think!
YinTx replied to YinTx's topic in Show Off!!
thank you! Appreciate it! If I had a puffer 300+ years old, that'd be impressive! Serious challenge to make a holster for that too! Thanks for the complement, also! seriously, why didn't I think of that! I debated putting border stamps on it, but felt it wouldn't look right - too cramped. But running an edge beader like I did on the band would have been perfect! I can cut the strap shorter, went with a bit longer to accommodate gloves. Might still go shorter tho. I like the idea of border stamping the skirt, I'll try that on the next one. Also really like the design on the thumb break, especially since it keeps the hardware (ie snap post/back) from ever contacting the revolver. I've been looking for those little plastic inserts, but haven't been able to find any. That design kills two birds with one stone! I'll look at reshaping it a bit too then. Thanks! Agree with you on the strap finishing. I'll figure something out to tie it in better next go round. Not sure I follow you on the thumb break installation? Is it essentially the same design that MarshalWill showed? And thanks for the comments! -

I debated leave it off.. put it on... leave it off... but in the end, I just didn't want it to bounce out. Really interested to hear what others prefer here, so thank you for your comment. It kinda just felt weird to not have any retention, and I've seen em without anything. This design isn't really set up for a thumb break, but I will admit to preferring that to a strap. -
Nice work! Can we see the back of the holsters please? I'm trying to get a better understanding of different ways to attach the holster section to the skirt section using the band...

Tried my hand at a revolver holster. Seems to fit a large N-Frame just fine. Open to suggestions, comments, critique, etc.!

Slim Jim 51 Navy Holster

Excellent layout on the border, and great color to go with the '51. Awesome! -
Thank you. Seems to be a popular take, I'll have to keep that in mind when I do future work!

He does sell the pattern, for some small coin you too can make it yours. Thanks, used a Barry King basket and border on that one. I have many many pieces of scrap leather with unhappy stampings! Awesome, part of why I post what I do. I too get inspired by other's work (like for instance, this Corter design!).

I have a few turnbacks, not sure how to run them, never could get them to look right! And thanks, also not sure I am at the level I could readily replicate what you see there... maybe a bit of luck involved! Many thanks!

I also liked his design, but had to change it up a bit for my tastes! Appreciate it! Thanks! Thank you. Since it was a bit of a prototype, I wanted to embellish it some but not spend years on it. Used a Don Gonzalez pattern on the front, came up with my own for the handle. Was going to leave the handle blank, but couldn't help myself. May do a design for the gusset in the future, then have options on what is and isn't tooled/stamped. (IE blank handle, carved/tooled handle, stamped handle, blank gusset, carved gusset, dyed/not dyed, antiqued/not antiqued, etc. etc., and any combination of the above). I did kinda like the large negative space on the one panel really drawing the eye to the tooling. Yes, I have a design for a zipper installation, but didn't want to spend more time/money on this one since it is a prototype. It can be lined etc. also, which I think if this is popular, I'll do as well. Thanks for the suggestion!

Ruger Blackhawk Bisley Holster

Great set up, both gun and holster! How do you decide how far past the snap to extend the retention strap? Yours seems to be a couple of inches... -
Great work!

Nice work. I've been wanting to do the disc bound journal for a while, but kinda uncertain how to do it. Did you leave a plastic sheet under the leather, or just cut the leather and add the discs? I worry they would work loose over time...

My Vergez Blanchard wheels leave slanted marks... a pouncing wheel does not tho.

Interested in the inspirational word set.

Condolences on your loss. You are in the right place, there will be plenty of interest here. Post photos and prices, location shipping etc. as mentioned in the marketplace rules, and you will find buyers.

Very nicely done, and kudos for understanding that EcoFlo dye. Not many seem to get it to work so well!
-
kudos with the creativity! For not tooling too much, you took on the advanced pattern quite well!

I really wanted to, but just too dang many things going on all at once, so I don't see it happening right now. Best of luck to you!! Lookin good so far, look forward to seeing your final result!
