My Vergez Blanchard wheels leave slanted marks... a pouncing wheel does not tho.

Interested in the inspirational word set.

Condolences on your loss. You are in the right place, there will be plenty of interest here. Post photos and prices, location shipping etc. as mentioned in the marketplace rules, and you will find buyers.

Very nicely done, and kudos for understanding that EcoFlo dye. Not many seem to get it to work so well!
-
kudos with the creativity! For not tooling too much, you took on the advanced pattern quite well!
-
I really wanted to, but just too dang many things going on all at once, so I don't see it happening right now. Best of luck to you!! Lookin good so far, look forward to seeing your final result!

That is really nice looking work! I love the color as well.

two impressions, rotated stamp.

Was going to suggest that one. I have one, it works well for me. But again, a lot of these tools are slightly different from one another, and one may fit your working techniques more than another, regardless of price.

I have some tooling veg tan shoulder leather from Sedgwick that is fairly flexible, and I can't wait to try it on a project. The sample tooling I did on it came out very nice. You might see if they are still making it and get a sample. Mine is fairly heavy, I think 9 oz or so I think (3.5 mm?). I don't know if they have heavier.

Been daydreaming about building one of these for a while now. Have some sketches started, so maybe in a few years? Nice work!

Nicely done, thanks for sharing! I finally know what the lining and pockets can look like for a piece that I tooled, lol.

Very cool work. Easy to over engineer that, and I think you did the right amount!

Second set of rolled handles ever done. Tote Bag Repairs
YinTx replied to YinTx's topic in Show Off!!
I have that book, I'll check out the technique. I think I referenced that book for the first set of handles I made, might be the same. For some reason my vol. 2 is not hanging out with vol's 1 and 3 right now... Heh, yea thats probable! At least I hope they do! -
Second set of rolled handles ever done. Tote Bag Repairs

Appreciate it! Thanks!... and uhm, yah. you saw that. lol. Had to get one special made just for this. Might not ever use it again, don't know tho! Thank you much. They are a bit of a challenge with some idiosyncrasies, I think after a couple it is easier. for sure the second handle was easier and came out better than the first. Still left a lot of room for improvement. -
For 8 years I've been telling myself I'll make one of these. Haven't done it yet. Kudos to you for doing one!

So, had a request to replace the "leather" pieces off of a tote bag. As you can see, they were not really all leather, more like plastic coated split sections, with broken filler in the handle. So I cobbled up some replacement parts, and did a set of rolled handles. Not the best, but only the second set of rolled handles I have ever done. Think if I have to do another set, I have ideas for improvement, but should be functional for this purpose!

I have that stamp. I have a real hard time running it straight. Yours looks like it came out better than any I have done with it!

Helping to pay for more leather ........
YinTx replied to Gezzer's topic in Leatherwork Conversation
Nifty! Some of those could be used as necklace pendants, also. With a leather cord. -
