  1. I also glue it down on a bend using the edge of your bench to help you. This should help you reduce the wrinkles. Good luck!
  2. How awesome! Good luck
  3. Very nice sample. The one with the globe under the saddle would get my attention.
  4. I wish I was a computer person or graphic designer. You both are lucky!
  5. Beautiful work. I know how much time it takes a to care for a blog. Keep it up!
  6. The documents are available in the first and third post at the beginning.
  7. There are some great videos on YouTube. Just type in what you are looking for and search. You would be surprised.
  8. Hello Frank and welcome to the forum!

  12. Very nice work.....I will be teaching a butterfly class locally next month. Keep it up!
  13. I use water and glycerine (saddle) soap. I do not use Gum, but I have a a bottle of Quik Slik and it has worked great. You can even dye over it. The bottle is still full because soap and water has worked really well for me.
  14. Sheridan Outfitters in Wyoming offers Quik Slik which is an alternative to Gum Trag.
  15. Check out Y-Knot Lace or Knotty Linda in Canada. Maybe Springfield leather in Mo they may be able to help you out. There are many books available plus some really good videos on YouTube that can help you. Good luck!
  16. Troy.....it is hard to say because I do not know what your specifics are. I purchased a keen edge barrel for my SK-3 blades and use the Big Red for the regular shaft blades. I am a real big fan of the Big Red and suggest it to most people that ask. I do not think anyone that I have run into has regretted the purchase. I have had great success. Maybe Avion can connect with the issues you are having to see if your issues are similar? Sorry, I did not have more help for you.
  17. I saw the ad on CL for the last couple of weeks now. I probably know most of the leather workers around my area and found it interesting when I viewed the photographs. It must be disturbing to see someone else claim your work. Unfortunately, most people will not know how fake some of these people are. I would definitely flag that ad.
  18. If I may suggest the Al Stohlman's Hand sewing book available on-line, Amazon or other outlets. There are a couple of cheap issues on eBay. This is probably one of the best materials that will help you build up your confidence. Keep at it!
  19. Hello and welcome to the forum. You have really nice work. I like the butterflies.
  20. Unfortunately, oil and sun can create a sun tan or burn depending on the length of the exposure.
