  1. I just shipped an item back that I won on eBay that was broken when it arrived. I just opened complaint where the transaction is listed. It was handled between the seller and I since I purchased through Paypal. It totally sucked and I know how you feel. I hope things work out for you!
  2. Beautiful new editions Boma! Thanks for sharing!
  3. Hola and welcome to the forum!
  4. I have used Tandy blanks in the past. You can use a fine grit sand paper and sand the back side carefully. I have had good luck after sanding. There is no comparison with Hermann Oak, Wickett & Craig, etc. But the price reflects the difference. I guess it is like my wife likes to remind me constantly............you get what you pay for! Good luck
  5. Welcome to the Forum and enjoy the art.
  6. There is one that went up today for $880 plus shipping. Congrats!
  7. Michael....If you can only make a minimal investment take a look at www.brucejohnsonleather.com and see what he has listed for head knifes. Good luck
  8. I agree with Randy. Plus, he is probably out doing shows or on a hunting trip. He will get things done!

    Maul

Check out the right side of the main page. There is guy named DJ who has a bunch of tools for sale. Maybe you guys can hook up for your maul! Good luck
  15. What $15 to ship? Hell, $4.95 would get it on the road Priority Mail. I always used H/C for purposes. I am finding it very hard to understand this. Why don't you contact Chan directly. I am sure that he sells his own DVDs. Good luck
  16. Cool stuff...............started with stitching and into dyeing.............I love this place!
  17. Steve Great looking saddle. I do have a stupid question. I am familiar with the term "wade," but what is a 'half breed?' Does it have to do with the use of grain and flesh sides of leather? Just thought it would be interesting to know. Thanks.
  18. Aurelie You go girl! I am hobby leathercrafter and I usually go to show for several purposes. One to meet new friends and/or rekindle past relationships and two is to go shopping! I do not compete as of yet for many reasons, but when I feel ready, I hope to put as much effort and desire that you have shown in your new endeavour. Best luck and most of all, enjoy!
  19. Check with Hidecrafter leather in Fort Worth. They have all of them for sale.
  20. Very cool Art. PabloZ, I heard that those that use horse butt leather say that they have better results than regular cowhide? If anyone can elaborate, I would interested in knowing. Art, your experiences?
  21. Dwight: You're just in luck.......we have a member here by the forum name "MarkB' who sells a how to video. Look him up and good luck. BTW.....good for you for doing this.
  22. Very nice Knipper!
  23. That true.....I believe there is one carrier for Hackbarth left besides the main shop. Pro Leather Carvers in Fort Worth, Tx. The other site shut down earlier this year. The only other option is to find an American contact to gather the tools you need and ship them together. You pay upfront of course. good luck.
