  1. Constabulary is right,it is best NOT to take it apart, just clean it the best you can ,that dirt that's left won't hurt anything. The problem is many times when people take these apart, they end up either loosing or breaking parts & then not getting them back together properly.
  2. Nice looking machine you have there. The problem with these older models w/o the steel ends is the casting where the rack slides against can get a groove worn in it that requires brass to be welded to the backside of it as a shim to get the gear closer to the pinions.I'm certain this is why they re-engineered & adapted the replaceable ends on all of the newer models. We have also seen where the hole where the shuttle rides in enlarges to a point it is so loose that it won't sew correctly either. We use .950 as the limit & anything beyond that we strip them for parts.
  3. That link looks like the same one as all the other 45K's so your in luck there BUT you'll have to take the top shaft to be able to access that large screw on the bottom of the pic.So if I were you I'd dunk this in some kerosene or diesel fuel for a couple of weeks & it will help it came apart easier.
  4. That a bit on the high side for a 96,if you wait I'm sure you could find a Singer 111w with walking feet for the same price.
  5. Here's the manual showing all the parts & part # this should help you. 206RB-5(2).pdf
  6. Yes,as long as you get the short arm stand it'll bolt right up,other wise you'll have to re-drill 2-holes for the long stand.
  7. I'll have to double check tomorrow,I'm almost certain we have a few in stock.
  8. They made a 12" model for boots,a 10" is close & might work in a pinch. You probably could sell the others since this one will do what they can + more.
  9. Looks like a good start. It probably wouldn't hurt to keep all 3 of those K's you never know what can break. What is the # on the Auto-soler with the built-in shelf?
  10. That set screw #43 is what locks the offset adjustable pin that is loosening that you are having a problem with.
  11. It has a set screw that is on the outside of the pulley. You might have to take the belt off to get to it.Part#43 on page 10 in the parts manual. Juki_LU-1508N,_-1508NH.pdf
  12. #5 happens on this model & that is why Singer made the end replaceable on the newer models,There isn't anyway to fix it,we have found that if the hole measures any larger then .950 from side to side it is worn & won't sew properly due to too much slop in the shuttle.
  13. Looks like it is for the pivot pin engages the clutch so it doesn't need alot a few drops a yr should be enough.
  14. If you don't have one get a web page of some sorts.Alot of people I know go to the local gun ranges & talk with them. You might also try any of your local Sheriffs & City police dept.
  15. Sure would like to BUT ,it's hard enough to stay on top of things with one store!
  16. Make sure it's centered correctly, you might need to give it more foot pressure to hold the leather down when you sew thicker.
  17. We have one, give us a call & we can text you some pics.
  18. It looked like a small bobbin to me.But the race looked like a large one!
  19. It's hard to tell for sure in this pic.The big bobbin measures 1-1/2"x1-1/2",small is 7/8"x1-1/8"
  20. Loosen the screw that holds the knob on & careful the spring doesn't fall out & you can turn the knob from 3 to #4,tighten the screw & see how looks.
  21. Does your machine have a large bobbin machine? The 7-25 base by the needle plate is built-up for the larger bobbin, unlike yours in the pic.
  22. Usually if you Google the canu # the Singer system # will come up along with the Japanese system of # & letters Like 88x1,88x9(Singer),DAx1 (Japanese) or 4:45EB1 Schmtez which is more confusing since only Schmetz uses it.You can also go to Schmetz's website & search, but as long as you have either a Singer system or Japanese system for the machine you'll get the correct needle for the machine.I never use the canu # since they just add to more confusion.
  23. 7-11 is a bookbinder with a long stitch & reverse, flat foot that doesn't walk. This machine has a vibrating foot on it.Which I've seen on other models like the 7-25 which has a large shuttle like the 7-31,33.
