  1. Yes C. Looked at these with my drawers about 6 years ago. Nice but would add to cost of drawers. glenn
  2. pics of the machine please? glenn
  3. Check Kwok Hing on line. They are in Singapore and make feet for Adler 69 and lots of other things Good quality and you can order direct from them. glenn
  4. the cover on the end of the head was hinged but not on mine. They changed the casting on the top of the machine a little. the changes were improvements. glenn
  5. thanks Bob glenn
  6. 30" throat. big or small bobbin? glenn
  7. Do not retap hole. I myself would take a Dremel and enlarge the opening in the synchronizer clamp so screw fits. I have done it in the past. Dremel with drum sander attachment. The clamp metal will be softer than the screw head. The screw is spit so that it holds snug in the hole in the shaft. It will take a little work. Have a micrometer near you to check the screw diameter and hole in clamp. glenn
  8. DLee. You can go to the 29K72 book. Almost same machine but for a few parts. They have and exploded view of the machine. I may have one. Let me look. glenn
  9. Contact Ryan at Ryan's Saddlery. He is the importer in North America for Cowboy. glenn
  10. That is one from the first year they came out. I have that exact model. About 13 months after they were introduced, Juki made a few changes and the new one was a 1508N. glenn
  11. It is not threaded correctly in the video to start. If sewing with #69 thread. #18 or #19 needle is best. One thing not mentioned here is the take up spring. Pfaff made a heavy and light spring. You are using #69 thread, I would go to the lighter spring. The one in the machine is for heavier threads. Check to make sure the take up spring is threaded correctly in that when going around the tension mechanism that after it, you hear a click when you pull the thread around it. That tells you the thread has cleared the curved finger in back. glenn
  12. Not threaded correctly to start
  13. you need needle system 29x3 or 135x17. glenn
  14. Actually it was on for the long arm big bobbin Singer shoepatchers 29K 55, 60, 72, 172. glenn
  15. I would take the foot to someone with a 3D printer and have a prototype made out of plastic. Once that is done and you are satisficed, there are people out that with 3D printers that can print in metal. Cheaper thatn having it machined. If it works, get a couple made. People looking for the feet. glenn
  16. Glad you got it going. I have a operations manual for the 30-1. glenn
  17. The Singer and Adler use 7x1, 7x3 needles or 794. You might move to the needle system 1000 or 1001 needle system. The make needles up to #300 if I remember correctly, maybe even #330. It would mean retiming the needle bar. Thread above #556 may be harder to find. glenn
  18. Durkopp uses system #88 needles. The System 332LG or #332LLLG which is the leather point will work. You may not be able to get the #332lg needles in the needle hole because they have a shank size of 2.0mm. The #88 has a shank size of 1.90mm. Both needle systems the same accept for the diameter of the shank or top of needle. I have books on the #18 Durkopp class shoepatcher but one is in German. The 18 class that you have has a stationary shuttle. The 17 class has a rotary shuttle. both are good machines when operating. Do not put that big spool of thread on top of the machine. It will screw with your top tension. glenn
  19. that mount is and Efka motor mount. Nice job C! glenn
  20. yes contact Bob Kovar at Toledo sewing glenn
  21. OK I have a DA 669 eco. great machine. The one problem I had since I sew mostly with #138 is this. Adler borrowed the entire hook from their 367 machine since it was a horizontal hook in the flatbed. The largest needle you can use with it is a 150. Try finding that size. normally #140. I use a titanium coated #160 for what I sew. To use it, I had to remove the bobbin case basket. I took both carbide and diamond bits and enlarged the slot the needle goes down thru. i then went over it with silica carbide flat Mitchell cord to polish it up. I now can sew with either a #160 or 180 needle.no problem. No more frayed or cut thread. Why DA did not enlarge the slot from the beginning is beyond me. The 669 silver line with trimmers has a larger slot in it to accommodate the #180 needle. If you sew with #138 thread, you need to do this. I also think that leather made be a bit hard for this machine. for the hell of it, wet the leather and try sewing it and see if you still have tension problems glenn
  22. For what you paid for the machine, Sergey should have an operations manual available. Juki or Seiko make one anybody know? glenn
  23. that is correct as to loosening the shuttle carrier adjustment. the long drive rack in the horn is bent and is supposed to be. they also went to a different cam bolt and nut on the end and eliminated the pin like fount on a 29-4 can we see pics of the long bottom drive rack out of the machine and the shuttle carrier out of the machine? glenn
  24. I got the springs guys. glenn
  25. Probably the revolving bush #8573 is what normally wears. The needle bar hole normally wears left to right, not up and down. Screws worn? the revolving bush washer can be replaced. They are available. glenn
