  1. no problem. love to see it when it is done. glenn
  2. any pics yet of the completed machine? glenn
  3. My guy has no extra gib screws and gib ring. Sorry. glenn
  4. 545 part would not be the same because the hook on the 145 is smaller than the hook on a 545. The needle guard for a 145 is part #91-010-167-05. The needle guard for a 545 is part #91-018-344-05. Hope that helps. Those numbers are right from the Pfaff 545 parts list. glenn
  5. Ok. the gib is broken in half. You might try to see if you can buy just the hook Gib from Adler and the screws. You need to find a dealer besides College. I would look for one in Germany where Adler headquarters are. The gib and screws should not be that much. Anyone with an old hook for a 67 would have the gib and parts. There is also a guy on eBay out of eastern Europe that sews a lot of Pfaff and Adler parts as well. I know someone here in the states that rebuilds 167, 267 and 67 machines. Let me see if he has any old hooks. The gib for a 167 will not work since that is a bigger hook. Screws should be the same. glenn
  6. Household machine. Not heavier enough. Pfaff 335 or a single needle post with roller feed like an old 51w post. They were used a lot in the footwear industry. glenn
  7. Yes C. Looked at these with my drawers about 6 years ago. Nice but would add to cost of drawers. glenn
  8. pics of the machine please? glenn
  9. Check Kwok Hing on line. They are in Singapore and make feet for Adler 69 and lots of other things Good quality and you can order direct from them. glenn
  10. the cover on the end of the head was hinged but not on mine. They changed the casting on the top of the machine a little. the changes were improvements. glenn
  11. thanks Bob glenn
  12. 30" throat. big or small bobbin? glenn
  13. Do not retap hole. I myself would take a Dremel and enlarge the opening in the synchronizer clamp so screw fits. I have done it in the past. Dremel with drum sander attachment. The clamp metal will be softer than the screw head. The screw is spit so that it holds snug in the hole in the shaft. It will take a little work. Have a micrometer near you to check the screw diameter and hole in clamp. glenn
  14. DLee. You can go to the 29K72 book. Almost same machine but for a few parts. They have and exploded view of the machine. I may have one. Let me look. glenn
  15. Contact Ryan at Ryan's Saddlery. He is the importer in North America for Cowboy. glenn
  16. That is one from the first year they came out. I have that exact model. About 13 months after they were introduced, Juki made a few changes and the new one was a 1508N. glenn
  17. It is not threaded correctly in the video to start. If sewing with #69 thread. #18 or #19 needle is best. One thing not mentioned here is the take up spring. Pfaff made a heavy and light spring. You are using #69 thread, I would go to the lighter spring. The one in the machine is for heavier threads. Check to make sure the take up spring is threaded correctly in that when going around the tension mechanism that after it, you hear a click when you pull the thread around it. That tells you the thread has cleared the curved finger in back. glenn
  18. Not threaded correctly to start
  19. you need needle system 29x3 or 135x17. glenn
  20. Actually it was on for the long arm big bobbin Singer shoepatchers 29K 55, 60, 72, 172. glenn
  21. I would take the foot to someone with a 3D printer and have a prototype made out of plastic. Once that is done and you are satisficed, there are people out that with 3D printers that can print in metal. Cheaper thatn having it machined. If it works, get a couple made. People looking for the feet. glenn
  22. Glad you got it going. I have a operations manual for the 30-1. glenn
  23. The Singer and Adler use 7x1, 7x3 needles or 794. You might move to the needle system 1000 or 1001 needle system. The make needles up to #300 if I remember correctly, maybe even #330. It would mean retiming the needle bar. Thread above #556 may be harder to find. glenn
  24. Durkopp uses system #88 needles. The System 332LG or #332LLLG which is the leather point will work. You may not be able to get the #332lg needles in the needle hole because they have a shank size of 2.0mm. The #88 has a shank size of 1.90mm. Both needle systems the same accept for the diameter of the shank or top of needle. I have books on the #18 Durkopp class shoepatcher but one is in German. The 18 class that you have has a stationary shuttle. The 17 class has a rotary shuttle. both are good machines when operating. Do not put that big spool of thread on top of the machine. It will screw with your top tension. glenn
  25. that mount is and Efka motor mount. Nice job C! glenn
