  1. Looks great @MattW Do you have a name for the pattern?
  2. It's called a blanket stitch I believe...
  3. Right... Too easy. Haven't ventured into contemporary bags but I've done my share of the Renaissance variety, steampunk thighbags, and plenty of sporrans...
  4. Wow... Great work and I know it's been said already but... very inspiring!
  5. And vegans do not drink mead or eat honey. Not because we box up bees or abuse them with smokers while we steal their honey. It's because bees add invertase.... This enzyme helps change sucrose into equal parts glucose and fructose. Just droppin' knowledge.

  8. I think it's entirely generation by generation. I'd be willing to bet that those who like to think they are being safe are of an older crowd. Facebook is a great networking tool. Giving your cell number assures you can get back into your acct should you lose or forget your password or sign-in info. No email boogey back and forth with pass-phrases etc. Another way closed groups are used. Online gamer's who are in teams use closed groups to strategize and not worry about "spies"
  9. Great tip! I have started to pay attention to details like that recently and the quality and aesthetics goes up! Love it!
  10. I got a headache from searching CA's Fish and Game information on this subject. Does anyone know if I make an item with bobcat fur, do I have to sell it with the tag like when I bought the bobcat like the first time? Sure would wreck a nice purse having that tag hanging out... Any help or knowledge when the tag can be dropped from the pelt would be appreciated.
  11. Anthropodermic bibliopegy is the practice of binding books in human skin. As of Oct 2018, The Anthropodermic Book Project "has identified 49 alleged anthropodermic books in the world's libraries and museums. Of those, 30 books have been tested or are in the process of being tested. Eighteen of the books have been confirmed as having human skin bindings and twelve were proven to be not of human origin but of sheep, pig, cow, or other animals. Then there's this: Company claims to make belts & shoes out of human skin
  12. Clean and clear dye work. Airbrushes make the difference for sure.
  13. Remember too that on a more noticeable mistakes there's usually only two choices... 1) show-casing it 2) or shit-canning it. Anything in between will look like you are trying to hide obvious errors.
  14. Pictures of broken 'silencer' please
  15. Yeah those historically correct baldric/frog connections to swords just shows you what can be done by true craftsmen of the old world. Nice.
  16. As a licensed business owner and a carpenter.... Right on!
  17. I don't eat anywhere near as much cereal as is there soda and beer drinking going on here. 12 and 24 pack beverage boxes also work extremely well for templates.
  18. Is the toaster oven for Pop-Tarts?
  19. Whats wrong with riveting these to the jacket directly?
  20. Looks good. Alot of fine stitching there. I have to admit... When I saw the title of this post I thought it was a bag used for killing some kind of animal.
  21. Allow dye to dry before buffing then apply resolene 50/50 with water via airbrush. Allow to dry completely. Wash your hands thoroughly before sewing.
