  1. I had a gentleman come into the Omaha Tandy. He showed us an absolutely beautifully stamped and blinged Mexican ... oh poo, what do you call it when you turn the holster around and slide it through a loop or two and in this case, three? Gorgeous. ‘So of course he wasn’t happy with it. Anyway, as he was checking out, he mentioned that his wife was annoyed with him for not doing the projects right the first time. I told him to tell her that even God had to do the job twice to get man right. And he wouldn’t want to rock that boat, would he? He laughed and said that he would tell her.
  2. So, the advice here is keep it off high and only use it a half hour at a time, then let it cool? If you’ve already got one, that is. Which I do.
  3. Hi Ed. It sounds like you’ve already got a good start. The people on this site are always very helpful and mostly cheerful. Hope you feel well soon and that leatherworking brings you joy!
  4. What? Are these authors or publishers? What kinds of harness’ do they make? Do they have patterns? How hard are the patterns to copy?
  5. I’m thinking about an RV. I live in Nebraska, so I need it to be heated in the winter and ac in the summer, without using gas. I’m thinking about pulling the wall fixtures out and putting in benches, shelves and drilled 6X6s for stamps and other tooling tools. It will have a sink and a toilet and maybe a couch. Paradise!
  6. Tandy sells rawhide lace in 1/8” and 1/4” widths.
  7. Could you mark the center of the punch, like you would a letter stamp, so you can see the lines, then mark a straight line on the back of the leather for punching, and then just line up the marks on the punch with the straight line you have drawn?
  8. Fire mountain gems has settings for gems that you might be able to attach to leather. Good prices as well.
