  1. I know a lot of people recommended WUTA but I'm boycotting Chinese made products. Buy American.
  2. Nice. Wish I would have made a holster for mine before my girlfriend and caregiver peppered themselves with it.
  3. I got my Tyvek from E-Bay. Only bout a yard and shipping was around $5. I got in in three days.
  4. Thank you john474
  5. Very nice work. I enjoyed looking at your design.
  6. Thanks for the link. It's from Tandy and is 3 - 4 oz. I'm using a size 00 punch and the large needles that come from Tandy.
  7. It's really a shame. I worked for Tandy for 10 years when it was a great job. Many of my friends became millionaires while working there. The store managers made a lot of money but the hours were horrible.
  8. I'm trying to make my first wallet and would like to know what size thread I should use and what needles would be best? My holes are size 00. It's from the Tandy book for a 3 fold. It's my practice piece but I'd like to be able to get a good example.
  9. Enjoy getting your tools and don't think it's excessive. This is your hobby and if you can afford it you may as well buy the things you want. Now the trick is not to sell them. Just like my guns, I wish I still had most of the ones I sold over the years.
  10. I just checked their website and it's still in business. I made a small order and go a response . They've closed most or all of their stores because of Covid19 and are shipping everything from the warehouse in Texas. I'm hoping the Phoenix stores open soon. I've been ordering everything on line but I'd like to peruse the store to see items I really need as I improve in my leather working skills.
  11. Most excellent work. Tooling is great. I hope to be able to do that some day. Takes a lot of practice and that's what I'm working on now.
  12. Very well done. I'm about to try my first wallet. Should be fun. First I ordered a kit and when that's done I'll go freelance.
  13. Looks real good. Try Resolene from Tandy. I'm sure others will chime in on their favorite finishes.
  14. Very nice work. It's good to go past your comfort zone and you nailed it.
  15. Very nice work. Love the stitching. Did you do it by hand?
  16. Do a search on Google. There is a wide variety of sizes and strenths available.
