  1. Those look really nice and would be relished by anyone in archery. You're not too far from me either. I reside in Carthage MO. Just a couple hours away. May have to meet up at SLC sometime.

    Tumbler Wraps

Thanks! I just use a simple lacing to close the back. Would like to see yours if it is different.
  3. Saw some on Etsy the other day and thought I would take a crack at it. More tooling and stamping...no stitching. This one has an arrowhead concho attached.
  4. I had a gentlemen from Colorado ask me to make him a holster for this Canik suppressor ready pistol. He was pleased with the end results.

    Tumbler Wraps

When I first started in leather, I had a long distance mentor who suggested I practice my carving and stamping on tumbler wraps. To this day, I still like to make these. Here are a few I have made recently. File size limits....here are a couple more
  6. at one time, i had access to the glow forge and was able to download free images from the web. Don Gonzalez has several free patterns on his site as does Jim Linnell. Not sure what their thoughts are on selling the items though.
  7. Looking good. Is that .6mm thread?
  8. WOW! stunning. Love Damascus. Nice quality work. How long did it take you to create? Were you going to add any knurling?
  9. One could always use the old doctor's bag pattern. That is plenty roomy for the tools you mentioned.
  10. Very nice indeed. Love the nice straight lines of the basket weave.
  11. You are much more artistic than I. I struggle with cutting out pieces of leather and sewing them together, much less detailed carving / painting. Kudos.
  12. Have fun with the sewing machine. I could have sold you mine. I have had no luck with it AT ALL. Sometimes, you get what you pay for. In this case it's true. Saving for a real one now. Or may just keep hand stitching.
  13. Glad this thread popped back up. Wow what amazing work!!!!
  14. I have one of those stamps from Sergey. His stamps are awesome quality. Looks great. I just started a rig for my own piece using that style of pattern, except on this one, the pattern is a bit larger and cut by hand. Hopefully it turns out nice enough where I can share some pics. Nice work!!
  15. practice, practice, practice. Even after a few years, i am still making rookie mistakes. I would rather try and learn from it, then not try at all. Keep up the work, you WILL continue to get better. Thanks for sharing your progress.
  16. +1 to painter's tape. I keep a 1" and 2" roll of the stuff in my shop. I have noticed if you peel it immediately after stamping, it peels easier without too much fuzzing.
  17. really like how you added the moon (i guess that's what it is) to the inside of the lettering on the back as well as you workmanship on the front cover. Nicely done padawan :-)
  18. It's called a petal lifter tool https://proleathercarvers.com/products/b60-undercut-beveler-petal-lifter-1 no affiliation with the site, just googled.
  19. WOW! beautiful. Was the stitching done by hand or machine? Either way, flawless. Just curious.
  20. Thanks for the info. Never heard of Brilliant Wax.
  21. I just want to make pretty leather items and from time to time sell them on Etsy.
  22. I completely agree with you on BS policies. I also don't want to have a lot of inventory sitting around either (which I feel would be needed with a site due to the "fast food" mentality of some consumers.)
  23. Well....guess it's time to invest in some YT videos on this new endeavor. Thanks for your responses!
