You should add your location to your profile so you get answers that are applicable to where you are located. Appears from your IP address that you are in South Carolina. Makes a difference versus Europe, Australia, China, etc.

Please post your info outside of the quoted box (usually below) so it become obvious it is a new post not quoted. It gets confusing to users when new info is added to quoted text.

For videos that are larger than the upload limits, the only way to get them on here is to upload to YouTube or any other similar 3rd party host.

Sewing machines do lock-stitch. Can't do the equivalent of saddle stitch. I think lock-stitch is really a misnomer as the stitches are not locked during the process. You have to tie off the ends, or back stitch over top to lock the ends of the stitch line.

The small pulley on the motor should go to the large pulley on the speed reducer. You want to slow things down, so you want the motor pulley to make many turns to get one turn out of the speed reducer. Same goes for the belt from the speed reducer to the sewing machine pulley. What you have now is attempting to speed up your machine, and reduces the torque so it can't start on its own, needing you to give it a push to get started.

You need to resize the picture files. 800 pixels in the longest dimension is adequate for phones and most monitors as they don't display in high res. Take a look at this thread for some helps. There is lots of Apps and other helps on the web too. HEIC files don't display on this site and many users will not download unknown files. So post as jpeg. Loctite bearing retainer allows disassembly for inspection and repairs. I couldn't get Loctite for threads many years ago and used this instead. Doesn't come apart due to vibration. Seals in air-tight spaces. Fills gaps, resistant to oils and grease as well.
