  1. Guests can NOT post pictures. So this is as good as it gets. At least you can see the whole web link.
  2. Another tip I saw a couple days ago is to put a rare earth magnet next to where you are removing or replacing small items like c-clips, screws, etc. so if you drop them, the magnet will grab them saving you from searching all over the floor and benches or furniture where they like to hide.
  3. You should indicate where in the world you happen to be so you get the area related information and responses that you are interested in. Your IIP address indicates you may be in the Linglestown, Pennsylvania area. If you are willing to work with people anywhere in the world, you could state that. too.
  4. Check through the leather sewing machine forum. There are from what I recall, some instructions for digital servo motors. Some are very similar between brands. This is from Keystone a few years ago. Works on my servo even though it is not related to Keystone. Hope it helps. Your P and S buttons might be similar to the up and down buttons.
  5. @Leather2 Moved your post to leather sewing machines Your location affects prices too. From your IP address, you appear to be in Nevada. You could update your profile with your location so you get more relevant help and information to your area.
  6. I compiled all the instructions into a PDF for easy download and reference. It has such great instructions and tips. Some of these tips are useful for other projects too. Have a great read. Leather Covered Canteen Tutorial.pdf
  7. @fredk, @YinTx, @billybopp There is a lot of information on the Facebook group Al and Ann Stohlman Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/887678778231813 Jim Shipley and Peter Main have a lot of info and posts to this group.
  8. @lorenejackson If you want to advertise here, contact the admin Johanna and buy a banner ad. You have embedded your site in a few posts here. We treat it as spam and will take further action if it continues.
  9. We are pretty much stuck with linking to videos as they are much larger than the upload limits here. If they are on YouTube, they usually stick around unless they infringed copyright or the person who posted them either removed them or blocked public access.
  10. Thanks SUP There is a pinned topic in the "Computer Help" forum with several suggestions and helps. Also, there are lots of additional helps available on the web. On Windows PCs, you can use MS Paint to save files in acceptable formats and to resize photos. You can set the file sizes your smart phone saves. You can email files to yourself, generally able to pick a suitable file size. Some have posted to Facebook or other blogs or social media sites and then downloaded files. I think it is about time to re-write the above pinned topic with more current helps and tools.
  11. This is a prime example of why you should post your photos here rather than on a 3rd party host.
  12. @loganreal Moved your post to market place - leather and lace.
  13. You need to post the condition, etc. See the market place rules and please comply.
  14. What kind of motor is on it? Clutch motor (runs continuous) or servo motor (that only runs when you step on the pedal)? Clutch motor - you have to learn to feather the clutch, similar to a car/truck with a standard transmission. Some people are very good at it. takes a lot of practice. That's why I don't have a clutch motor. If it is a servo motor, the settings need to be adjusted.
  15. My dad was in Chicago in 1939 taking a diesel engineering course. One day he was just coming out of a department store when a mobster car came by and gunned down the people on the steps below him. Supposedly was Al Capon's crew.
  16. You should be replying to ToddK. I was giving you a heads up.
  17. My neighbour died of it a few years ago. Had worked most of his life as an electrician. I worked on a steam turbine many years ago and patched up the high temperature insulation (asbestos) with more asbestos, powdered cement that we mixed with water and plastered it on. So far, my x-rays are good. I have a scar in my low in my left lung that is not related to asbestos.
  18. https://www.asbestos.com/mesothelioma/canada/ Quoted from the above link: There is a ban on asbestos in Canada. The Prohibition of Asbestos and Products Containing Asbestos Regulations came in 2018. Although, specific uses of asbestos remain legal in Canada. The nuclear energy and military industries can use asbestos until 2029. The chloralkali industry has until 2030. Magnesium extraction companies can use asbestos mining waste. Canada has held off on the World Health Organization’s universal ban on asbestos. The government has also considered reopening the Jeffrey Mine in Asbestos, Quebec. There are no longer any active asbestos mines in Canada. The last two asbestos mines closed in 2011. One was the Jeffrey Mine in Val-des-Sources, Quebec. The other was the Lac d’amiante du Canada in the nearby town of Thetford Mines, Quebec.
  19. Moved your post to leather sewing machines. I think you'll have better luck here.
  20. I'm sure asbestos is gone now. Must be using Nomex or other fire proofing/heat resistant similar materials.
  21. Hasn't been on board since Dec 2022. You need to tag the user or quote part of their post so they get a notification. To tag someone, type the @ symbol followed by their user name and pick it from the popup list. Like this ... @Josh518 you have some interest in your post.
