You can resize your photo files so they fit the restrictions here. See this link. Many more helps and methods/software is available on the web.

You need to resize your files to fit, or set your device to save smaller files. Also need to save them in jpg or other supported files on this site. I replaced and resized your file in jpg format. heic files are not supported here. They are a proprietary apple format. Many users here will not open unknown files, so you are limiting your ability to sell your machine or communicate with others if you post heic photo files here. See this link for some helps on resizing photo files. There is lots more help on the web. See this link for info on hiec files.

Help in identifying this skiver please
Northmount replied to BrissyTrimmer's topic in Leather Machinery
A "Guest" (IP 207.162.218.5 Louisville, Kentucky, 40223) submitted this comment via the "report" system. I would suggest to "Guest" that they join leatherworker.net so they can actively participate in more subjects and posts. "This Skiver looks a lot like the one I purchased. It is a Hamlin Bell Skiver made in Lynn, MA" -
800x600 or 1024x768 are adequate. A lot of users are on tablets or phones, don't even see that large a view. Can post lots of photos if you squeeze them to near these dimensions. Also good for people in the fringes of the internet that have very low download speeds.

The IP address resolves to 51.158.101.148.d.dyn.claro.net.do San Pedro de Macorís, San Pedro de Macorís, Dominican Republic

Be kind to your fellow users here. Post your photos here. 3rd party photos tend to go missing due to 3rd party changing policies, owner changing location or deleting files, etc. There are many tools available to resize photos. Check this link. Lots more tools on the web. When these 3rd party links are broken, much of the post or thread becomes useless to others that come along later and try to make sense of the thread. You will see a number of threads where the photos have gone!

Replaced one with a nail long ago. Cut trimmed, and smoothed it out so it would fit and slide nicely.

@gregintenn Please post your photos on this site. Using 3rd party hosting often results in broken links and the photos disappearing off the post due to changes in the hosts' policies, photos moved or deleted from the host, etc. Then the thread/post becomes useless to others that are trying to study and understand the thread in the future. If your files are too large to post, then reduce the file sizes to make them fit. 800x600 pixels is adequate in most cases, 1024 pixels also works well. -
@Teradee as in the post above, you need a smaller pulley on the motor to slow the machine down.

You need to quote part of his post, or tag him. @Ozarksleathersmith You have some interest in your bender dies. You tag a user by typing the '@' symbol followed by the username and picking it from the popup list.

@Drumhack Was about to post the same link. Tugadude beat me too it!

Rather than pricking iron (used for marking stitches or on very thin leathers) you are looking for punches. Here are a couple links to amazon.com that you can review to see if they fit your needs. I have a couple pliers that came with a box of leather tools from a pawnshop that look like the carbon steel handles in the second link. Have never used them! Machine stitching is my go to. https://www.amazon.com/s?k=4mm+Silent+Leather+Hole+Punch+Stitching+Hand+Pliers&crid=1ABVJZI6P7SY1&sprefix=4mm+silent+leather+hole+punch+stitching+hand+pliers%2Caps%2C139&ref=nb_sb_noss https://www.amazon.com/s?k=Stitching+Hole+Punch%2C+17cm+Hand-Held+Carbon+Steel+Silent+Pliers&crid=3SOQWBCS7YZ4O&sprefix=stitching+hole+punch%2C+17cm+hand-held+carbon+steel+silent+pliers%2Caps%2C115&ref=nb_sb_noss

To tag a user, you need to type the '@' symbol followed by the username and pick the username from the popup list. You may have to scroll down a little to see the popup list. Failing to pick it from the popup results in no notification to the user. @Moabforge If the tag doesn't show a yellowish background, it didn't work. Try again.

You need to quote or tag the individual so he gets a notification. Hasn't been onboard since Dec 9 so isn't checking every day. @mikesnody You have some interest in your machine.

leather sewing machine info request

Clutch motor. Motor runs constantly. You have to feather the clutch like a car with a standard transmission to get it started. Only with a clutch motor, you have to feather the clutch all the time if your are trying to go slow around corners, etc. Go to the home page and there is a full list of all the forums along with descriptions, numbers of posts, and how many are unread (by you).
