  1. Beside the above mentioned important information my 1st try usually is: Increase top tension or decrease bottom tension or try a larger needle. But there are more things that could cause stitches like yours.
  2. I absolutely do not know but I would guess something from the former east block, probably Russian - maybe made by Minerva in CZ... no clue.
  3. Have you tried to reduce the bottom tension or try a heavier upper tension spring?
  4. You can DIY a speed reducer from (for instance) a 40mm pulley and a 120mm pulley with 15mm bore, some 15mm adjustment rings, 15mm shaft and 2 15mm bearing blocks. The rest depends on your skills You´ll find a lot of DIY speed reducer idea in the forum https://www.google.com/search?q=speed+reducer+site%3Aleatherworker.net%2Fforum Or check this video:
  5. if you can´t find a pitman rod buy 2 feet of chain and 2 S-Hooks.
  6. What means not pushing through? Not feeding the material forward or needle not pushing through the leather? If it is a new machine have you checked with Techsew? You cannot install a roller foot on a triple feed machine like the 2700. You only can install a roller foot on a drop feed (bottom feed only) or double feed (bottom feed + needle feed) machine.
  7. I also switched to 40mm pulleys but also have added speed reducers for extra torque and reeeeeal slow sewing. I´m very pleased with this setup.
  8. If the tension post has the same parts number it should fit. You can drive out the post from the back side and press in the new one but be careful, I´d put on the nut before you "hammer in" the new post. I have replaced a post on a Adler tension unit that way - worked! this German Ebay seller salvages parts from old machines, he has lots of 138 parts http://stores.ebay.de/brleder?_dmd=1&_nkw=138 He may have what you need.
  9. I would never use a patcher for producing serious leather good. There may be some niches in production but generally patchers are machines for doing repair work. I have one but I´m barely using it. I just need it for small repairs now and then. Thats why I can live with my short arm small bobbin 29K71 fairly well otherwise the small bobbin would be a PITA.
  10. I bought both motors from them - haven´t found them any cheaper. Alternatively check HOHSING servos: http://www.bernkopf.de/Motorentechnik/Ho-Hsing-DC-Motor/ They are of a higher quality afaik but I have no experience with them. Another UK supplier - they have both brands: https://www.ae-sewingmachines.co.uk/accessories/motors-and-accessories/servo-motors
  11. Still have it and I´m still pleased with this setup but I have removed the needle positioner. I also bought a 2nd Jack Servo (w/o NP) and the 3rd (most likely) will follow when I setup my Singer 132K6. BTW - the UK is still in the EU so no import tax when you order from the UK
  12. glad other have been bitten by the "vintage Singer bug" too I´m just about setting up a 132K6 as well but still hunting for some vintage "accessories" but I´m close...
  13. The tube is a capacitor for running this motor on 220V instead of 380V. 2800 RPM is way to fast. Even if you slow it down with just a speed reducer (a pulley system) it´s still to fast for leather working. If you had a 1400 RPM motor you could slow it down with a smaller motor pulley and speed reducer but IMHO a 2800 rpm motor is not worth it. I would replace the motor with a servo motor + speed reducer. Or - if you really want to keep this old motor you probbaly can slow it down with a frequency converter but I personally would go with a servo motor + speed reducer. I cannot explain the FQ thingy but someone else will jump in here and let you know.
  14. I´m using this one - dirt cheap - no problems https://www.college-sewing.co.uk/store/TC-805GE-METAL-THREAD-CLIPPER-GOLDEN
  15. Don´t know what the upper part / attachment is for - its made of brass. Bottom is straight edge guide and roller guide but I wonder what machine they are for? Probably BUSMC or Pearson?
  16. that appears to be a relabeled Dürkopp 17 or clone of the Dürkopp 17 patcher machine but with some minor differences as it seems. EDIT: Very similar, right? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Durkopp-CL-17-1-1-maquina-de-coser-cuero-/221318641802?_ul=BO&nma=true&si=qvSEY96ksSGHRWc0Gy1AovuZNWc%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
  17. EDIT: 7-5 I guess. Question is if this machine suits your needs
  18. saw them on 441 clones but never for "Singer 111 type" machines...
  19. Just found this while googeling for parts - never heard of it / seen it before. Is someone using it successfully - any experience??? Looks very interesting.... https://www.ebay.com/itm/Special-Walking-Foot-Sewing-Belt-Buckle-Zips-For-Singer-211-Juki-563-Highlead/263409902502?hash=item3d547423a6:g:Ju8AAOSwe6ZaZxIn
  20. would like to see some pictures If you wan to sell them fast (or just the ones you cannot market by your self) check with a dealer but as Uwe said never tell how much you paid
  21. nice idea - how long does it take to print a corner thingy? Printing Blue Guns could be an idea too.
  22. Is that freakin' Sigue Sigue Sputik in you avatar picture - never thought of seeing or thinking of em ever again... BTT: A quick Google website search can help finding 145 information posted in the forum https://www.google.com/search?q=Pfaff+145+site%3Aleatherworker.net%2Fforum%2F&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-b-ab

  24. Al, believe it or not last night I couldn't sleep well and have been thinking of this and that and finally was thinking about some Singer parts and also about the tension stud you are looking for (men - really no other things to think about at night ) - this morning I looked ant my 132K and 133K and figured they have a very similar tension stud with short post just as the one you are looking for. The part # in the parts book is: 1110 - thread retaining screw stud Not a 100% match and I have no spare but maybe this helps
