  1. Good luck with the Fortuna GeorgiaK. If they have a spare left cover would you let me know?
  2. Nº-F524951 F- 514760 531759 29K 17000 January/June 1910 Clydebank, Scotland I think i remember reading somewhere that the Acanthus leaf decals were discontinued around 1920 so the swash on the R could be close to that also but not 100% sure Al. Possibly the best way would be if anyone here on the forum has an old singer with the long R, maybe they could say what S/N they have or the year if they know it??

  4. Excellent job Al! Looks like you just bought it new from Singer, and the decals came out great also. well done!! Possibly the old decals used a fixing cement before they were applied?? but not sure. https://ingeniumcanada.org/channel/articles/industrial-transfers-and-art-decalcomania-collection-profile
  5. That looks like an early type outsole stitcher. Gritzner had a similar one to this. jimi.
  6. I think they were named the "Patent Elastik" and they were made in Germany if i can remember. And there was another one called "Colibri" i think?? regards jimi.
  7. Sorry thought you were talking about your skiver. You might have to add a speed reducer??
  8. This is the way i use my servo on the skiver, I usually leave it on nº10. I take it you have no clutch on your skiver??
  9. Maybe try gluing a piece of leather on the feed dog to raise it level and see what happens??
  10. Nº3 Like you said, after you have adjusted the back stitch length problem you might find nº 1 and 2 fixed?? On the jack servo needle positioner when you finish in the down position, if you kick back the heel of the pedal then the needle should come to top position. I don´t know the specs of your machine but it sounds like you are at the limit with m20/140, so any higher possibly might not work?
  11. Hi There, Is it the correct plate and feed dog combination?? I don´t have a Adler 69 but a Pfaff 335 and the feed dog is level with the needle plate.??
  12. Could you send a picture of the marks and the feet that you are using? I have heard that the big Cowboy and 441 type walking foot machines will mark the top side of soft veg tan type leather which surprised me. But seemingly this will happen on some types of leather. I saw someone sewing a belt and leaving a lot of small toe marks all the way along the leather with one of the large walking foot machines. One possible solution might be to use a wider foot??
  13. Hi, needles are not universal, you need a certain type of needle for your machine. just ask the seller to send you a couple or ask him what type they are. if that fails then internet.By techies do you mean techsew?? If so your machine is in this list. you just need to find out which are round point (for cloth) and which are spear point (for leather). check out the Grosz Beckert page. Iam sure they have both types. Hope this helps. https://www.techsew.com/grosz-beckert-dp17-135x17-needles-for-walking-foot-industrial-sewing-machines-10pk.html
  14. This arm looks like it could be missing? You can buy them cheap from china but i do not know if it would fit?
  15. Hi, Are you willing to spend time taking all the rust off?? Most times it is surface rust only, but you never know? And as YinTx said what is a very low price?? If you could ask for more pictures just in case parts are missing. Also to see if there is rust underneath as well?? It is possibly missing the arm where the feed roller goes?? 10 bucks!! If you find a fortuna one with a left side cover on it over there for scrap Mark i´ll gladly give you ......20 bucks!!
  16. Welcome Mary and greetings from Spain/Scotland.
  17. Where the machine is listed the other picture of the grey machine is the Adler 105-373 and this is the Adler 5-25.
  18. Possible solution might be to change the feed dog? Are there any options without the groove available?
  19. Thanks very much.. What a relief not to see Sheridan....
  20. Could you post a picture or two of the machine where the feed dog is etc.. If the picture is too big to upload, just right click on it-edit-resize-pixels-and reduce to half or less the number it shows. jimi. Here is a link to an old casting type one i fixed up, I believe if i can fix one up anyone can! haha..
  21. Hi there and welcome, Check out this one... it is a similar setup as your machine, only difference is this is a flatbed. Then check your stitch length again.
  22. Wow!! They do have some steep prices for the parts? and as it states they are all "used" parts!
