  1. You just brought hand made to the next level. Carved moose horn D rings? I wouldn't have thought of doing that in a million years. Beautiful piece, well done.
  2. I saw one of those on eBay the there day. Seller didn't know what it was either. Think they had it listed under cobbler's tools.
  3. Oh, now I know what you mean about over lap.
  4. Heck, I'll take the trim knife. Kevin's still on vacation anyway.
  5. Welcome aboard. I'm not sure what you mean by overlap? I have only made one leather belt for work. I used round punches. It works fine. I would invest in ovals if I were going to sell them. And, there are tear drop shaped punches out there.
  6. Can't say I love the camo, but that has to be one of the finest executions for a wallet that I have seen here. Or anywhere. Bravo, Sir and have a fun trip.
  7. Oh you have stepped in it now..... Welcome to the most fun frustration you will ever find. Even more difficult than fixing up a money pit with your spouse as the only help. I found this little kit from one of my favorite sellers the other day. This looks very well thought out. I have a few of the tools and can say the hole punches and wing divider are top notch. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F153332451784 It takes a minute to get here, and China is on vacation right now, but this is a fine deal. Even comes with a poundo board.
  8. I'm still not clear, is it $500 for the whole lot? Or for each head? Sorry, I'm a little dense.
  9. I believe you can do that......??? Someone who now's more than me will be along shortly.
  10. Uwe checked into it already. He had problems getting the tolerances close enough to stand behind. Just information.
  11. Excellent piece of kit. Being a carpenter one would think I would have something nicer than a piece of Chinese junk to stitch with, but here we (still) are. Lol
  12. I have always like the craftool pro awl. It took a bit to get it sharp, but after that it was good to go. Recently, in the last few projects I have used my newer Wuta awls. I overloaded the large one and pulled it from the handle. But, that was my fault. The leather was too stiff and thick. And, I didn't spend enough time sharpening that awl before use.
  13. The pictures have to be resized to fit here. This website has been around for a long time. I usually email the pics to myself or post them on Facebook, then save them and share them here. That usually does it. When I still had an Android phone I used photo resizer, but it's not available for iPhone.
  14. Yep, my boss's son (future heir to the empire) is going on a paid trade show trip. He will bring going to Mexico down on the Yucatan peninsula. His woman won't leave the country and he is really not liking the of leaving the country. He's never been out of the country before and is trying to keep his cool about it. So, when I saw your post I thought it would be nice if he had a little bit of purple and gold in his pocket. He is a big LSU fan and purple and gold pretty much sums up Louisiana.
