  1. Congratulations, and good luck. The shop and the inventory looks top notch.
  2. I bet the last witch Hunter movie took some ques from that genre.
  3. Drill presses are usually slower turning. I have a homemade bench set up. The motor is 1\2 HP and spins about 3450. I have a 2" burnisher on that. It hasn't given me any problems and the motor was free (some people say that is way too fast). I have another 3 speed motor from a down draft vent a hood I want to try next. Just food for thought.
  4. That was a poor attempt at me trying to be funny. I knew you made a lot of cool things yourself.
  5. That's way better than my suggestion. Thanks for sharing.
  6. I think I have a fancy laser cut one I could give measurements off of. Would that help? Then you can make one of your fancy CNC milled templates. Haha
  7. I have the heritage skiver\splitter from Weaver. I like it well enough. I don't think I would like one without a locking handle. Good luck.
  8. Those are cool. Thanks for sharing.
  9. Black River Laser can cut custom templates for you. This is a great option, short of investing in clicker dies. I use their premade dies and I am pretty happy with them.
  10. Great job. I'm curious as to why you didn't use the embossed leather for the cutter?
  11. For the newbies out there, here is a well written sewing machine blog I discovered. It mentions this site for leather sewing information so I figured I would share it. http://vssmb.blogspot.com/2012/04/difference-between-domestic-industrial.html?m=1 Enjoy.
  12. Try the for sale section. Go to the home page and scroll down. It's there it is just way down there.
  13. There is a guy in Texas looking to trade a Tippmann for one of these. Look in the machines for sale section.
  14. Thanks for sharing.
  15. The wood is red oak. Nice job. Tools that fit our hands is nice. I have an awl made by a forum member that fits my hand perfectly. It really relieves the strain.
  16. There's a lot of guys in Tennessee and Kentucky on this forum as well. I wish I could find local leather guys to visit with.
  17. Thanks for the info, Smyth.
  18. I don't know that any of that is wrong.
  19. I think (stress think) belting leather is for mechanical drive belts. Not necessarily quality leathers being used for that purpose.
  20. I think the hexnhit sets are worth saving up for. Yes, they are expensive. But once you have them, easy lettering for the rest of your days. I think they are worth the money.
  21. You could embedd the snap in the flap similar to the inlay. Then you wouldn't need the strap. Or you could do a piece of deer horn that goes thru a loop mounted on the body of the bag. I have seen that done a few times and it looks pretty cool. Nice looking bag too.
