  1. WOW! That is gorgeous. Lucky old Traveall.
  2. Curious, what area are you looking at to open a store?
  3. Nice, simple and gets the job done. I wish we had more access to 'Roo here in the States. That looks like larger than .6mm thread. Must be the closeup shot.
  4. Nice presentation! I can hear the recipient opening that and saying, "WOW!"
  5. I'm right there with you! I like to think of my stuff as "slightly boosted up functional".
  6. I have to say, I KNOW Jeff likely has better things to do with his time, and yet he continues to put this kind of time and effort into helping others to "visualize" how to do things that are second nature to him, but a TOTAL mystery to the rest of us. He's a resource. Use him, but don't abuse him. Jeff (not that Jeff)
  7. Wonderful case! I particularly like the interior. Nice froggy socks, too. Jeff
  8. Great! The waves are a nice touch. Jeff
  9. The first one is always the hardest. Can't wait to see your western rig.
  10. Thanks, guys! I didn't realize I didn't put the ID of the shootin' iron in the post! It's a 686+ 4". The stag grips are by "The Executioner". (His SASS name). He used to be local to me but has since moved up to Wyoming. Still not far. I have two sets of his grips on my Smiths. Here's his grips on my Model 10.
  11. Ah, yes! It's very important that the stains match! When Maynare the Wonder Cat was still with us, we became experts at matching stains. Didn't want to, HAD to. Now that he's gone on to his great reward, we've replaced the carpet throughout the house. If I had room, I'd have a dedicated dye table too. I have to make do with what I have, and the spray "booth" is the rear deck, when it's "NON winter". Jeff
  12. Colors on a computer is a challenge. Different monitors, with input from different computers and programs, will look very different. No real way to get around that. Nice holster, too!
  13. My first lined holster, this one in pigskin, because I had some, and tried out the cut lines with seeder at the corners. I learned a LOT on this one. The next one will be much improved. 6/7oz leather, thin pigskin, 25% mahogany 25% burgundy and 50% alcohol. (Fiebings).Finished with a few sprayed coats of Resolene 50%. Oh, and Fiebings edge paint in dark brown. 3 coats with sanding between coats. No welt, made the dimensions so I wouldn't have to. I found that I prefer the strap with snap. This is my second with the hammer strap, not my favorite.
  14. Very nice. Now I'm tempted to do one. I have one old pair to donate to the cause, so there will be a holster, and now maybe a matching watch-band?
  15. Wow, I'm getting old. I didn't even think of it that way! Oh, there was a time, though...
  16. Nice matching set! The "A" wouldn't stand for Atticus, would it?
  17. Immiketoo, can you post a pic of the exact light you have? I've been stopping lights from drifting for over 43 years, in dental offices. I might have some suggestions for you. Jeff
  18. We left the holes for you. No calories!
  19. I can see myself saying, "I'm too old for this "stuff""! Scratching Godaddy off my list. Jeff
  20. Welcome aboard from Ft. Collins!

    Retiring

Smooth seas and following winds, Chief! I "retired" at the end of the year, and the leather is just one of the ways I've kept my hand in...beginning to wonder if that was the right way to go. No kids or grand-kids, though, so will need something to keep me off the streets until my troph-wife retires in a few years. Thanks for all your input. Jeff Oh, and nice dobro.
  22. These are what I use. The shotbag is new, I'd used the boxes of bullets since the beginning. Nice and heavy, and just the right size. Jeff
  23. I only mention the USS Connie because one of the crew on the USCGC Rush in the '70's was making a very large model of the Connie, and one night in rough seas we all heard a crash, yep, it had gone down, as it were. Plastic pieces everywhere. He carried it out to the rail in tears, and gave it a burial at sea. He was almost done with the model, when it went down. The most complex, detailed model I'd ever seen. Leather would not have shattered like that! Jeff
  24. NIce! What's next, the USS Constitution?
