  1. Yes,it should handle that thickness max thread size is #92 on it.You should take some samples of what you want to sew with you & try it b4 you buy it.We stock some parts, needles & thread for it.You might want to do a search on them,it's on the upper right hand corner of this page. They also have an issue w/marking the top of the leather since the bottom of the feet have teeth on them to grip the leather to feed it .
  2. We have the plates & etc listed here;http://www.tolindsewmach.com/cb-acc-pack.html
  3. We have 2-gross boxes of #69 White in style I.
  4. When you stop sewing have the take-up lever all the way up.This is the chrome part you thread through that goes up & down while your sewing. That will put the hook in a position where that thread is released.
  5. You need to hold on to the needle thread for the first 3 stitches when you start sewing, also looping underneath is almost always either top tension too loose or threaded incorrectly.
  6. How's it working? Usually I tell people when it loops underneath to double check the threading or tighten the top tension alittle.Looping is almost always loose upper thread tension.
  7. You can also use a #20 needle w#92 thread & would need alittle less foot pressure to hold it down. The larger needles create more friction.
  8. I checked with one supplier & it shows it's discontinued.
  9. I checked that part# out w/my supplier & they say Brother has discontinued it,so maybe someone has some old stock?
  10. We stock needles for the 45K, but your size # are way off the smallest you can get is a #21 for cloth & #22 for leather.
  11. Welcome,it's nice to see another leatherworker from Ohio.
  12. Yes,Hightex has all the models.
  13. These Chromebooks are terrible, luckily I have a better puter @ work. Go here & scroll down for Singer.http://www.supsew.com/catalogs-reference-materials/
  14. file:///home/chronos/u-fb0e68cf593b2bc6570aebf31e13a1dcc163c845/Downloads/Singer%20138W101.pdf I guess you'll have to cut & paste.
  15. You might want to try searching Singer 231 for more info.
  16. This applies to all sewing machines. You need to stop with the take up lever all the way up.This is the part that moves up & down while your sewing & you thread through it.You might need to adjust where your syncronizer stops the machine to get it @ the top. HTH
  17. Yes,we get calls from people every once in a while about the lever moving on them & have to explain it.Glad to hear it helped you.
  18. Clickers have a short travel on the ram so you can set the depth it cuts.If you go too deep you'll cut up your board. So if you use a hydraulic press you'll need an adjustable stop maybe 4 (one on each corner) but they can be made to work.
  19. Yes,Greg ,Thanks now that you mentioned it I have seen the model 360 on these before.
  20. This one looks like a bottom & top feet type of walking foot & the feed dogs will making the bottomside, the 226R has a walking foot needlefeed that will leave a lot less marking on the bottom of the leather.
  21. Here's the difference I get from high to low.
  22. You can turn it down to the lowest setting, loosen the 2-screws on the collar, turn the pointer to mittel (making sure the shaft doesn't turn), tighten screws & turn down more.
  23. It's a model 226R,setting the way it is you can't sew on it so it might need some adjustment or parts. You will need a table, motor, thread stand, bobbin winder & light,& a drip pan.It will add up w/shpg alittle under $300.00,unless you can search around & find a used one.
  24. This is a very easy adjustment. You need a 10mm wrench & a 2.5 mm allen wrench, take the 10mm & loosen the nut in the pic, take the 2.5 m & put inside the nut on the allen bolt & turn it alittle clockwise & check the tightness of the stitch length handle & when you get it where it doesn't move up& down by itself tighten the 10mm.
