  1. The needlebar is probably a replacement on that they didn't cut off after they put it in.Look up 45K92,that stitch length is for reverse.
  2. It's a 138W101.needlefeed double needle.
  3. The clutch kicks out when the hook gets jammed. It can get thread jammed by a couple of reasons threading the machine wrong, not holding your thread the first 3 stitches when you start. If you have the option of buying a machine with or w/o a clutch always get the one with it.Reason being if you jam the one w/o a clutch you risk knocking it out of time(the hook twists on the shaft) THEN you need to take it somewhere & get it retimed or learn to adjust it your self.
  4. Looks great !!
  5. Good job!!They sure don't give you much room to squezze the belt in there do they?
  6. The bearing is pressed in there so if you can't get it out you will have to pull the top shaft out to change it.Which is a big job.
  7. That's the feed dog it's under the inside foot.
  8. Carrie you did a good job today repairing your machine,I'm glad it was just a minor problem & an easy repair.
  9. When you reset the clutch you need to push the button own, turn the handwheel backwards until you here a clicking noise(clutch popping in gear) then you can release the button. Is the clutch kicking out when you first start sewing? If so this can be cause because the needle thread needs to be held the first 3-stitches when you start sewing(so it doesn't wad up underneath the material)
  10. That's Great News !!
  11. Carrie, there's no dumb questions...only dumb answers. LOL!!!
  12. I think the word "link" is just used as a sales pitch they are referring to the fact that there is a link on the needlebar & takeup lever used to run these parts, just like the 31-15 has along with a lot of other machines have.
  13. Hey Steve, I hope it isn't an imposter!!
  14. Just got it & it's to slow??There is a knob on the front of the motor you can turn to speed it up. Please call anytime you have a question about your machine.
  15. Yes,it looks like a 155 because it has the roller bearing on the bottom shaft & probably the top too (next to the timing belt)& this machine also has the cam on the topshaft to adjust the height of the feet as they walk.
  16. It doesn't have a walking foot so it relies on the teeth of the feed dogs & upper feet to pull the leather. Most people would do better by buying a machine with a walking foot needlefeed like a Consew 206,226,255,Juki 562,563,Singer 111w152,153,154,155 If it isn't to far away take some leather & see how it looks after you sew on it.
  17. They are a different thickness & don't interchange.We stock GA-5 parts.
  18. Wiz,he has a 3200 w/a table mounted bobbin winder. So you can move the tension unit to the side it isn't going. So if it winds more on the right move the tension unit on the bobbin winder to the left. This will help to even it out. You might want to look underneath the tension spring on the shuttle for thread or lint ,clean it out & reinstall the spring & you need to tightin it until you get some tension, then get some scrap & sew a test piece & adjust as needed.
  19. It's more like a Singer 7 class. It has bottom feed on it & big feet just like the Singer.
  20. Dave, Gump gave you some good ideas, the bobbin thread needs to go over the top as it pulls so it doesn't slip out of the tension as your sewing. Also double check the needle thread as once in a whaile it canslide behind the 2nd tension & cause the top thread to be too tight.
  21. I don't want to burst your bubble BUT the gears that run the shuttle are not available for this machine & haven't been for at least 34 yrs that I know of,alot of the other parts will interchange, I just thought I'd mention this before you dump much $$ into this machine. These gears are similar to the ones in the 29K53,55 & 56 which you might want to buy for parts if you see any. They have real fine teeth on them & break pretty easy.We do have most other parts in stock.
  22. Some post machines have different length bases than your 225.So if you find a postbed ask them to measure first.
  23. There are different feet you can get for this like zipper feet where one toe of the outside foot will be off,you can get it with either the left or rightside off.
  24. You'll have to go with the new style parts, they old have been discontinued. We have welded a lot of castiron & always use nickel rod & pre-heat.
