  1. Yes,but we can modify it for the 3200. Also when you use the slotted plate the stitch length will be shorter in reverse do to the missing feed dog.
  2. The needle plate from the larger machines can be made to fit on the 3200 by elongating the back screw hole(it's off about 1/2 of the hole)
  3. Guys, you have to remember what your dealing with here. The 3200 & 3500,4500 are all made for thicker leather using thicker thread, there is no one machine that does it all & does a good job w/o some effort on your part. The easiest way is make a wider seam(It would be a lot cheaper than throwing away a project)it's just a 1/4"or so material that you cut off when your done & burnish the edge after. Also if your doing alot of this lighter weight sewing a smaller machine might give more consistent results. I see some tempers flairing & I don't want to argue with anyone so please cooloff,we try to ask people before they buy one what all they plan on sewing & I always like to say these are bigger machines & they will sew lighter material but it's like driving a dumptruck to the grocery store you can do it but it won't work the best. Don't forget either that a smaller machine won't use the heavier thread & sew as thick as these either .It's the nature of the beast!!
  4. The leather must be soft enough that the tension of the bobbin thread is pulling it down when the feed dog is lowered & going forward. This is what the slotted plate is for thin & soft leather. You will need to take the feed dog of when you want to use it.
  5. Try a #22 needle,20 is too small. You also might need to tighten the foot pressure down more, this is the knob on the leftside on top of the machine.
  6. Good Luck & see you soon in Texas! Maybe we can arm wrestle!
  7. Try taking the bobbin out(so the thread is out of the way)unthread the needle too,put some oil all the way around the outer part of the bobbin case & it might loosen up w/o having to take it apart. You might need to take the belt off so you can rock the handwheel back & forth. When you first started did you hold onto the needle thread to get the bobbin thread through the feed dog ?
  8. Overseas shipping is approx.$650.00
  9. This type of bobbin case works better when your using heavier thread, you might want to try it for a while before you change it.(If it ain't broke don't fix it?)
  10. Most of these 29-4 will give you problems trying to sew the 138,the next size smaller #92 works better & you use a #20 needle.
  11. A larger pulley on the motor will make it run faster.A new motor should be no more than $150.00,unless he had them put it on & they charged him a lot for labor,it takes 15min to install one. They are a good machine for upholstery, feet, needles & etc are easy to get also. Make sure to try & see it sew before you buy it,The price is in the ballpark.
  12. To my knowledge they old styles were all hammertone gray, just the new (441) styles were white. You can cut & paste that ad into your reply so we can see the pic.
  13. You can try pushing the needlebar rock frame front to back & look @ this part behind & towards the bottom. It is screwed in & sometimes loosens up.You will have to take the needlebar rock frame out to get to it.
  14. Yes,r means reverse.
  15. Here's the bobbin.
  16. Ok,I'm @ the shop & have this file on this computer.
  17. Try looking on youtube, also search for Consew 225,226,255 & Juki 562,563 they are all the same.
  18. What is the model # of the machine your looking at?
  19. They just screw on and can be put on the otherside too.
  20. Yes, those are the parts you need to change. You could just trade them from your 563 since it doesn't have reverse. You can also use the 563 hook saddle then you don't have to mill it to make it work.
  21. It would of been easier to flip the lower plate & it would put the pedals toward(no drilling & you can use the same pedals) the back. Also when working on the table like this I would recommend taking the head off the stand, one little mistake & you might have to pick it up off the floor & hopefully it wouldn't land on a toe.
  22. What I should of written was...This is a great board with a lot of knowledge on it.It is supported by the people paying for the banner ads @ the top of this forum & I feel it's always best to support them when possible. Thanks & have a nice day!
  23. We had an inmate from Texas send us an order for a CB3200 handcrank so we made him one. Handcrank CB3200.MOV
  24. Ebay is your friend if you want options for sourcing sewing related items like bobbins and such. Some folks are more comfortable with a phone call, and buying things without ever seeing them. Maybe I should send people to Ebay when they ask me questions too??
  25. We used to do a lot of them mainly 226R & Juki 562 that had reverse. We would charge $400.00 for parts & labor. The lower shaft has to be pulled out & take the hook saddle out & then mill it for the larger hook & put it back together. You also need to change the take-up lever to a longer one.
