  1. 1245 will have the bigger bobbin. Also, foot lift should be a little higher on the Pfaff. Color of Pfaff? Pfaff should be better machine overall and is smoother than the Adler! glenn
  2. Feet are not equalized as to the walk. Put the foot walk on medium lift in the back of machine. Should be a wing nut and slot on it. Loosen the two screws on top and the far left on top of the shaft. That should drop the center foot all the way to throat plate. By hand , turn the balance wheel towards you until the needle is just entering the feed dog which should be even with the throat plate. Tighten the 2 screws on top. Check lift of inner foot and then lift of out foot. Should be close to equal now for each foot. glenn
  3. Correct. 8345 Claes is same as 9345 Metro Spezial which Claes made for Pfaff. I have parts list and operations manual for the 8345 and the 9345 I believe. That cast iron stand it sits on was built by Claes for Pfaff I believe. Great set up. Has a speed reducer in the stand. Great machine. glenn

That cast iron stand it sits on was built by Claes I believe. Great set up. Has a speed reducer in the stand. Great machine. Generic bobbins are $8.50 US. The largest leather now made is a #170. If I have them, $8.50/pack of 10. Let me know. Shipping to Norway from US will not be cheap. I have parts list and operations manuals for 8345/9345. glenn
  5. Pilgrim Shoe closed their doors in May of 2019. Harris retired. glenn
  6. May be a second screw holding the bushing C but should not be. In my opinion, the bushing should be flush with the right side of the cast piece it is in. Looks like it can go about 1/8" from left to right! glenn
  7. Catskin, sell them all.
  8. Catskin, See what you have in 97 needles both size and tip. Also, any 126x11 needles in round point size #24/180? glenn
  9. JanMachine. You looking for leather point or round point.? I have both. The Metro Spezial you got was made by Claes for Pfaff. It is their patcher. Claes in everything but name. I also have generic #30 bobbins that a friend of mine made years ago on a CNC mill. Better than originals and cheaper. glenn
  10. i have at times put a machine in reverse to time it especially if it is missing stitches in reverse. The Needle is in a different position in reverse. Also, make sure your hook is as close as it can be to the needle without touching it. If it is too far away from need, hook will miss the the loop and and that means a missed stitch. glenn
  11. Take both bushings out and see if they fit on the foot bar shaft. If so, that means when the set screw tightens up each bushing, it is moving it just enough that the needle bar is binding. Can you polish the inside of each bushing? glenn
  12. If you go to the larger bobbin like on a 563, that will require machining some of the casting to accommodate the large hook AND you will need to replace it with a bigger take up arm. Not that simple to do just so you know. glenn
  13. That should sew it. The 67-72 does not have 4 motion drop feed. I think that was the binder version of the machine. Limited to #92 thread with it. glenn
  14. First clone I have seen of and Adler 30-10. glenn
  15. let us see it when done. glenn
  16. Not the heaviest stitcher they ever made. One of them. I had one. Great machine. The 5 class, 6 class, 8 class, 9 class were heavier. glenn
  17. It is set at its lowest setting for the height of the foot walk. Feet not in sinc. Set the wing nut up to mid setting. Loosen the two screws on the top shaft at the back on the end above needle. Let inside presser foot go down to throat plate. Bring needle down to where it enters the inner presser foot and just at the top of the throat plate. Tight the two screws on the top back shaft. Outside foot should lift. glenn
  18. 134-35 needles system. Some used a #190 needle system. glenn
  19. very nice. Does she sew???? glenn
  20. Matt, I have the gears and the shaft for the front mount of the balance wheel. I have entire assembly's of the front shaft and gear. I will have to see if I have just gears. Mandrill, what color is your 30-1? That determines the age and hence the manuals. I have various manuals for the Adler 30 class. send me a PM. glenn
  21. send me a pic of the machine please. glenn
  22. springs should be. Will not be cheap. glenn
