I have been looking at that myself for the price and what you get looks great, let me know what you find out about it. The same machine is on ebay and I contacted the seller but information wasn't great due to the difference in language.

That's funny I was looking at the used singer cylinder machine around the time the Pope was in town. I was going to pick it up the day before but wasn't going near the city with the Eagles parade.- 16 replies

I wasn't going to get them at first but since I was spending a ton of money whats a couple dollars more. I am just glad the resell value of these machines is good, I don't plan on selling it but maybe future upgrades.- 16 replies

I finally bought a sewing machine, a Juki 1541s after months of deciding witch one to buy. I was going to buy one from one of the banner ads but didn't want to pay shipping. I found out I live 30min away from Keystone sewing and could pick one up . After a couple emails and a few phone calls to @Gregg From Keystone Sewing helped me pick out a machine that would suit my needs. The level of customer service that this company provides is just not found anymore, Gregg spent over 2 whole hours going over the entire machine with me. I actually felt bad for taking so much of his time up, but he insisted that I was comfortable before I left. When I first got there and walked threw the old wooden doors I was nicely greeted by his mother running the front desk. There shop has an old style vibe with the solid wood floors, the place probably hasn't changed much since the day it opened except all the new machines lining both sides of the store. I told Gregg it reminded me of one of the machine shops I used to work in that had the pulley system on the ceiling. He then asked me if I wanted a tour of the place and his machine shop, of course I did I love this kind of stuff. I wanted some left and right single toe presser feet that were smooth on the bottom, he was actually out of stock so he took some double toe ones and made me some while I was there. I was also interested in a binding attachment so he went over different setups with me for binding attachments. I could go on and on about my whole day there but don't want to bore everyone with the details. Thanks to this forum I found a place I can get great customer service at, I am sure the banner companies provide the same since there always here to help anyone. I am just happy Keystone Sewing is in my own backyard, my next purchase I will be buying a bell skiver from Keystone Sewing and a cylinder machine. Thank you again @Gregg From Keystone Sewing for all your help next Philadelphia Eagles Parade I owe you a beer, hopefully next year. I also practiced sewing with 92 thread and 138 and had no problems at all, was a little nervous on my own but nothing time won't fix.

It's a hard decision to make when your putting down a couple grand or so on a machine, I have finally picked a machine out with the help of this forum. But on my own I have read and watched just about every you tube video on industrial machines. I was looking at the same machines and decided on the Juki 1541s, planning on buying it the end of the week. When you chose one let us know what one your going with.

New project...petite clutch
AdamPCain replied to motocouture's topic in Purses, Wallets, Belts and Miscellaneous Pocket Items
I am going to buy one someday right now I use a manual one from Wuta that I just heat up, it can be a pain in the butt to heat up during long runs. But first I am buying a sewing machine hopefully by the end of next week, love hand stitching for the strength and look but with my schedule I shy away from bigger projects, it's just so time consuming. -

It's like those dog watering bowls when you take a 2 liter bottle of soda and turn it upside down. I would think it would run out also but I use Barge and have no brain matter left. Very nice clean work, are you using a heated edge creaser for the edge border? -
They are ciems I called them earbuds since not many people have heard of them, thew are the ear pieces you see singers use on stage. Audiophiles and people that are into high end equipment love them since they reproduce every frequency very precise, I am happy to say I own 4 different pairs of them. Here is a link go buy a pair but don't use your phone to play them buy a $3000 lossless mp3 player LOL. https://www.jhaudio.com/p/layla-custom To get a pair you need to have the inside of your ear molded because they are custom fit to your ear canal. Sorry for all the audio talk I get excited about it I am on an audiophile forum when not on this one.

Nice setup I almost bought one of those work tables last week, I know what you mean about having more then one hobby. It seems the older I get the more expensive my hobbies get, photography equipment, high end audio equipment, drones. I would have to say the only one that can't make me any money is the audio, spending $1500 on a pair of custom earbuds is a little crazy. At least leather working and photography I can recoup some money.

I came across this and found it amusing had to post it. I wouldn't ever even think about putting a 1/2 of MDF under a industrial sewing machine or metal. Could be very dangerous. Enjoy the video.

Its cool to see what everyone does 9-5 daily grind. I am 41 and have been a registered Tool & Die maker in the state of NJ. I live in PA but its only a 25min drive over the bridge to Allentown, NJ. Before that I worked in a book bindery. Tool & Die work isn't what it used to be, I pretty much push buttons all day. CNC has taken over.

I see you have a Seville tool cart and workbench. How do you like them I am looking for a new work bench. I was also looking at Huskys 60inch workbench not sure witch one to get yet.
