  1. Jacksonville was colder than Detroit, and a few other northern cities. 39 in Ocala, and another cold one tonight. Another very nice scene!
  2. Very nice work on the basket weave.
  3. Thanks for taking the time for a detailed review. I will be shopping around and give it a shot! Thanks again, Rick.

  5. Really nice work on the stamping ! I like the way you used the border stamps. The back looks every bit as nice as the front. Nice work!
  6. Thanks, I appreciate your comments, I have already got an order for one since Christmas. Maybe this time I will pay more attention to the direction I'm stitching
  7. That is interesting, I don't think I have ever seen anything like this. Let us know how it works out.
  8. Those are very classy! How do you like working with the Saffiano leather . I am just now getting interested in making bags, and been looking at this leather as an option. Thanks for the pics. You better make a bunch, THEY GONNA SELL!

  12. I made this mini backpack for my niece. My oldest daughter saw it and said she would not mind having one lol. Well I secretly made her one while she was out at work. All was going fine until I was coming to the end of my stitching. I had stitched a panel backwards. Was not happy pulling thread late at night. The morning of the 24th I was in the "zone" restitching my mistake, and it made it under the tree in time for Christmas morning,PHEW! The turquoise is 2-3 oz Venice Italian leather, veg 3-4 oz , Fiebings pro dye dark brown, antique brass hardware. Rhino waxed brown tread. 10 worn out finger tips!
  13. What a work of art!
  14. You always amaze me with your skill with color. Another masterpiece, thanks for sharing.
  15. Nothing to worry about , like you said it is on the back . And that stitch will hold as well as all the rest. I think you did a great job.
  16. Very nice work!
  17. Have you tried changing up the order of your steps? Maybe try painting after the antique. I have done it both ways, and it seems I always have to repaint for a crisper result in the paint when I antique after. Even when I use Pro Resist, over the paint. Just a suggestion. It is just one of those things , it gets down to what is the hide going to do. Good luck and let us know how it goes.
  18. Very nice work, as usual. I love way a sun flower looks on leather. I am going to definitely find a project to put one on. Thanks for sharing and Merry Christmas!
