  1. i used to use an older (70S era) back pack frame it had a metal bar on the bottom that folded down to support a sleeping bag i would tie on my sluice box first then load it up inside with odds and ends then. use the straps across the sluice box to tie on my bucket and anything that didn't fit in the sluice box. I also was thinking of a design similar to a ww1 model 1910 haversack which you could adapt to an external frame, their design makes them well suited for many different loads but they are small. you would need to design a larger size and i would suggest heavy canvas over leather as it is lighter and dries easier.
  2. what does the CFM mean under our name now? i cant send private messages either?

  4. sounds to me like it was a meeting all three of you needed. It always amazes me how he works, you never see it happening or know why you just feel it. Beautiful story my friend. things you make don't have to be made perfect, to be seen as perfect. a person never really knows what an impact they make in the world until they get a a tiny glimpse as you did, kindness and a smile freely given are never wasted.

  8. make a template out of heavy card stock, or something similar the exact size you need. then its a matter of just laying it on the leather and mark the holes and punch them out. those cheap plastic school report holders work well. Welcome and good luck!!
