i had to get that light display it makes an awesome desktop background. My bro bought a plum crazy purple road runner in 69 when he got out. It made going 45 miles to the next town in 15 minutes possible lol. Love that old iron! One of my best days ever, my dad was the master mech at the local dodge garage, where i grew up after school, one weekend we were going up to watch my bro race snowmobiles and the owner of the shop let my dad take a brand new 1970 Plymouth SUPER BIRD to the race to show it off, damn that was one cool ride.

yes its a slip collar i have designed for my American bullies, they are big dogs that pull like heck. 6 months old and have 17" necks, made one for their mother too she has a neck 23".

its dependent also on the types of leather you are sewing together. I make mine out of two layers of veg tan glued and sewn flat, glued up they become one with no wrinkles but really stiff. With padding and a lighter leather yes they will wrinkle. This is a collar of two layers of 8/9 oz veg tan as you can see no wrinkles.

i wont go farther it seems they have been restructured and not in a good way.

The first is an abandoned barn about 20 miles out of town, the second two are from the great race, came through town a few years ago, we get two or three car groups every year man you gotta love those flat heads there were quite a few hot rods in this bunch as well as fully restored rides.

I make my own blade included, i find the curved handle allows me to position the blade so when it fits the hand its in perfect alignment, don't need to look just grab it and go. I just bought a new lathe so turning handles will be in my future.

That's interesting info for sure friend thank you, we went from the rawhide chews to these gristle chew things made from the lower back leg tendon. Problem is they are about $4.00 a pop and my bully's can eat one in an hour lol. I was going to tryr one or a few for making mallets but just haven't got around to it. On your sheaths how do you water proof them so they don't get soft in the field? I knew Native Americans used rawhide for making boxes and such.

so do you spray your finishes also? My problem with super sheen is that it picks up alot of dye when i brush it on and leaves streaks would spraying it on be better? On this piece it removed and streaked the bison brown then sealed up the whole mess lol. I mixed a bit of sheen with some of the dye and it sprayed well and helped cover some of the problem but puddled easily. Also wondering would the leather being damp help the dye bind better before drying i still feel alot of the dye dries before it soaks into the leather.

Made this/these for my daughters birthday, she loves to draw. I turned the pencils also. The sunburst went south on me when i added the super sheen, it took alot of the dark color off and made streaks. My attempt to fix it by spraying a mixture of super sheen and bison brown dye helped some by covering the worst of the streaks and allows me to say its a custom finish lol if you try this as a fix be aware its puddles as you can see. Not perfect by any means. Some pig skin for the liner.
