I would guess it unscrews at some point but its probably rusted up or just to tight. If you seriously want to re build it then cut off the leather. None of the leather or rawhide is good anymore you will need to replace it so no loss. it will be a lot of work for something that has little collector value but it is cool and I would do it just to learn how it was made. the holes on each end were probably to turn it on a lathe.
thanks lol that's my son, he has more knives than i can keep up with, now the other one i made about 12years ago
thanks they fit pretty tight also they are wet formed to the cartridge's.
if its an intersection I will turn on my signal ( that is the rule) if the sign says left turn only then no or if the road just turns left no.. , rules aren't intentionally made to cloud the issue but sometimes people make them for no good reason.
had to make another for my son, this one is for 308s and I finished it a bit better, well I put some edge coat on it and burnished it some lol. notice one stitch to long on one side lol. shhh don't tell him.
I forget that compasses, protractors and rulers don't get the use they did in grade school anymore. But a guy could get clicker dies made and pop these out by the hundreds or use a laser i guess, do they have badges for laser in boy scouts lol.
the wick wicks up the liquid wax and burns it as it melts the candle, Candles if made correctly work so that the heat generated from the wick will melt all the wax to the edge and flow it to the middle for combustion leaving an empty container. the ring is and was used to facilitate the pool around the wick as if not done melted wax can over flow and cut a furrow allowing the wax to escape over the edge and drip away. More info our ancestors left us but we forgot with the invention of the light bulb.
That went right over my head!
Thank you.
a shot gun holds three a double barrel two so I think mine would work well made to hold four or six, they would be awesome shooting skeet at the range with a double. . 22s and small handguns prolly not. now big revolvers 44 mag or larger maybe. I'll be experimenting this winter for sure.
man there was a guy on the site the other day asking about projects for boy scouts that could be dome quickly. these would be perfect for that. They would make an awesome projects for those who do teach.
