  1. I don't think I've ever seen a leather fishing lure.
  2. @Yukonrookie, Yeah, sorry that I'm no help. I have really only used a couple products from Fiebings and wouldn't say that I frequently meet with success. I don't really like the looks of antique and usually only use it when someone "just has to have it". It could just be my lack of experience or I'm not using the right product. JM2C, Jim
  3. You may be on to something. I certainly have a hard time finding dyes that are supposed to emulate the natural darkening of veg tan leather without an excessive amount of red in the dye (to my thinking). I'm using less and less dye and whenever feasible just NFO and sunshine. This is of course, JM2C. Jim OBTW, Nice wallet @RascalLeather
  4. Well, if you're not making them anyway. . . Why not put a hand warmer pockets on it? While I don't have any experience flying open cockpits, I have a lot of time on a motorcycle in freezing temperatures and welcome any chance to warm my freezing paws. JM2C, Jim
  5. Just my opinion but when I saw the title I wondered "why?" Again, JM2C. Jim
  6. Jonas, AGREED! A vendor like that is a wonderful find. I have found some like that in the past and as they get bigger they seem to outgrow their good service. I know it's a balance of profit versus service and good help is hard to find. JM2C. Jim
  7. OK, we're closing on "happily ever after". I was able to download the file with Edge. I obviously have a problem with "Chrome". Thank you everyone! Jim PS. Also, thanks for posting the manual.
  8. Thanks guys! I rebooted and still can't seem to get a download. I'm not sure why. I've never had this problem before. Hmm. Maybe I'll try the Microsoft browser.
  9. @1hp, I tried to download the engineers manual. It incremented the download count but I didn't get anything. I didn't know where the problem was. Jim
  10. I don't know either. Just take it as a compliment. It is a NICE wallet! JM2C, Jim
  11. I can't speak for everyone but I know that I'm a "work in progress". Keep trying to improve. JM2C, Jim
  12. About two years ago I ordered a CB4500 with a table attachment. The table is still in the cardboard, so I don't think I'm much help. I do like my CB4500, though. JM2C, Jim
  13. Maybe Clayton Moore but not Bass Reeves. I too am a firm believer in the "suntan method". JM2C, Jim
  14. I'm no saddle maker but I would assume that there is. I have read about makers using the flank area to cover the swells because of the stretchiness. Please bear in mind that I'm just repeating what I read. I wonder if you might be better off posting this question in the saddles and tack area of the forum. JM2C, Jim
  15. @rvacindy. It doesn't look like Rustyj58 has been on the forum since 2019. You might try "The Art of Making Leather Cases Vol. 1" by Al Stohlman. Tandy sells it. Others probably do too. He has one in there called a travelling secretary that is similar. The real value is that it gives you ideas and fundamentals. You'll be making and modifying your own patterns before long. The patten for that one shouldn't be difficult once you have the measurements of the composition book(maybe there is a standard size?) and the features you want inside. https://tandyleather.com/products/the-art-of-making-leather-cases?variant=31977098772611 JM2C, Jim Here is a couple pictures of one I did for a JRCA fundraiser that fits a steno pad. Yeah, I know my work isn't "top shelf". My photography isn't much either.
  16. Oops. I saw the title and thought Bon Jovi or Whitesnake. Nice work, though.
  17. Well, of course it does!
  18. @Mulein89, OP hasn't been on here for a while (2011). This is what Yahoo found for me. https://ppolinks.com/forestservicemuseum/2016_56_7 Decker Saddle.pdf JM2C, Jim
  19. @Tim Schroeder, How did I miss this? Your work is beautiful! As has been stated. I wish I was half that good. Jim
  20. I'd float my stick in the same direction as Fredk. As usual, JM2C. Jim
  21. I'm not fluent (in much of anything) but this website sounds like they have a "Procreate" for Android. JM2C, Jim https://www.appconner.com/app-procreate?utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=809_afcapp_kw_tis0.1_harry_240319&utm_term=procreate&utm_content=kw2552_procreate#google_vignette
  22. If I understand the instructions and the pictures right, the picture is half a pattern. I think if you double it, you'll have your pattern. I'm pretty sure the circumference of my wrist and forearm wouldn't fit on a 8.5" x 11" page. JM2C, Jim
  23. @rodneyv, You might try here. https://tolindsewmach.com/thread.html You need to call Bob to order. A bit old fashioned but I like that. JM2C, Jim
  24. Makers Leather sell Kimberly brand. I think Amazon has them too. JM2C, Jim
  25. I have used weldwood red/black and like it but still prefer Barges Yellow/Red. JM2C, Jim
