Get some denatured alchol and mix it 3 to one in another bottle and it will be lighter. Good thing is you have more dye in the end. I use a syringe and needle from the feed store one for each color and one for the alochol. Write what each is used for on the syringe.

What Do You Print On Your Business Cards?
dirtclod replied to Chavez's topic in Marketing and Advertising
Benlilly i think i would of put what i do / make on the card or a picture of what i do / make. People are lazy and i wouldn't want to take a chance on them not looking and throwing the card away. I'm sure a lot of the cards i hand out get tossed when they get home or clean out their billfold. -
How Do You Tell If A Machine Is Timed Properly?
dirtclod replied to LeatherWerks's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
On my machine a Pro 2000. I started having some problems with skipped stitches and i have never had a problem with that for 20 years or close to it. I changed thread and every thing works fine again. Guess i got a bad spool of thread. I would change thread and see what happens. -
Which ever one you decide on i would MAKE SURE i got the 16 inch arm. Their not that much more and i really think you will be glad you did. Nine inch's sounds like a lot but it will fill up fast.

I generally use size 69 thread but have used up to 138 thread. I'm not sure off hand what size the needles are. Call Bob at Toledo Sewing Machine 866 362 7397 and he'll fix ya right up with thread and needles.

I would get some poster board. Then measure a diaper and what else you want to put in the bag and start drawing. If you make your own patterns it will really be special.

You can a small brad to hold the tip on. That's what has come with ones i have used. Just wanted to say i didn't look at the picture before i commented. I though it was a buckle with a hole in the end for a brad.

How To Make A Round Braid That Starts And Ends At A Metal Loop
dirtclod replied to Kaff's topic in How Do I Do That?
I'm not sure what to tell you on what works best. I've done back braiding but it was several years ago. My friend that was in the Navy said they told him that three times back through was as strong as the rope / line they were spliceing i belive. Maybe somebody that does it pretty regular will chine in because i do very little braiding anymore and it wasn't that much when i was braiding. Knothead or Megabite ( their the ones that i can thank of off hand ) over in the braiding section would be of more help on that than me. -
