OP hasn't been back here since he posted this, so is not apparently interested in selling it. I am locking the thread and moving it to Old/Sold. Tom

Stitch Length HELP needed Consew 287R
Northmount replied to CustomDoug's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
Most videos are too large to be able to meet the file size restriction here, so you will likely have to use a 3rd party host like YouTube. That is unfortunate that many of them will be lost as permissions, moves, deletions happen. Thanks for being aware. I downloaded Uwe's video for my own future reference. 144 MB Tom -
@janosm Please update this thread with additional information as required by the Marketplace rules. Add info as to whether you will package and ship, who pays shipping, identify the feet and accessories that are included in the package. A photo of the accessories could be used instead of a long wordy list. Tom

Stitch Length HELP needed Consew 287R
Northmount replied to CustomDoug's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
@CustomDoug Looks like things are progressing for you. Not to rain on your parade, but please post your photos here instead of using a third party hosting service. If the host changes anything or disappears, then the photos hosted by them may disappear too. Also if you close your account, change your permissions, move or delete your photos stored on the host, they will disappear from here too! That will make this thread almost useless for others to reference in the future. You will find a number of threads here where this has happened. You may need to resize your photos to make them fit the size constraints here. I will be downloading your photos from your host, and uploading them here. Tom -
Please start a new post/thread for this rather than tagging onto someone else's for sale post. Please also review the marketplace rules. Tom

@Aleciawais Moved your post to Leather Sewing Machines. You'll get more input here than in Leatherwork conversation. Tom

Great West Saddlery identification help
Northmount replied to Josier's topic in Saddle Identification, Restoration & Repair
You can resize your photos to fit the file size restrictions. See this link for some suggestions. I recall that there has been a post about Great West Saddlery on this site some time ago. Have you done a search for anything here? Tom -

Somewhere there is a thread here about using a bench mounted belt sander to sand the leather to a fixed thickness. You might want to search for it. Probably faster to make the jig for the belt sander and safer than a planer. Tom

If you soak too long (apply too much NFO) then the belt will be soggy and headed for the trash. Tom

Tippman Boss sewing machine for sale new in box
Northmount replied to Brittanycrystal's topic in Old/Sold
@Brittanycrystal Moved your post to the marketplace. Please read the requirements for posting in the Marketplace here. Provide pictures, price, shipping info (will you ship) , etc. Where in Mississippi are you in case someone wants to pick it up or see the machine, hands on? Tom -
I see from your IP address your are in Ontario Canada. You can try https://www.sewingpartsonline.com/ located in Tennessee. Don't know if they support old machines. They have been running behind on orders due to the sewing demands caused by COVID-19. Call their toll free number. They won't answer emails according to the last response I had from them where I had emailed a question to them. You eventually get an email that you need to call for any assistance. Tom

Pant sizes are all over the place. Some stretched, some have shrunk, so you can't go by pant size. If you research this more on this site, you will find all kinds of stories about mistakes and lessons learned about using pant sizes. Also depends on where they wear the pants, under or over their dunlap tire! So for Etsy or other places, you would likely be better off making standard sizes to stock and sell. If custom making, you need to set up a measuring strap as other threads have suggested, so you get a real measure you can more likely trust, as long as they are honest in measuring and recording the number. I believe that should be cm rather than mm. For inches, men's may be 3/4" to 1". For women's and children's, 5/8" to 3/4". Tom

Since this has strayed so far off the topic of suppliers, I have locked this thread. If you wish to carry on the discussion about COVID-19, you might go to "All About Us and Off Topic". It would be nice to keep discussions to the topics the forum is about so it is more valuable to people searching that forum for related information. Tom
