  1. Copied from ABLE 290 - patcher FB page Q&A Nov 2019: ABLE 290 - Patching Machine Sorry for the delay in replying, message my personal business page Cyndy Kitt Productions. I am only selling hard copies of the fully revised manual. AU$25 includes postage. Hope this is of help to those that are looking for a manual. Tom
  2. @ASAuLTCases Moved to Leather Sewing machines. Tom
  3. If you add a post to this thread, at the bottom of your text area, you should see a note, drag files her to attach, or choose files. Also more info in this thread Tom
  4. The amount of belt slippage you have will substantially reduce the power transferred to the pump. After it has been running for 10 or 15 minutes, and you have been activating it a few times, how hot is the small drive pulley? If it is hot, you know you are losing lots of power right there. Secondly, since you replaced the motor and have cleaned and oiled it up, the problem would logically be one of those 2 things. Cleaning and oiling doesn't logically fit, so that leaves just the replacement motor with slipping belts. I would measure the belt length you need and go get a new matched pair of belts. They sell matched pairs for a steeper price than singles, but that is what you need. If they don't have matched pairs, have them measure and pick the closest 2 belts. You could try belt stick, but that is not the right cure for loose belts. Tom

    Nice job. Tom
  6. Looks like they are putting everything under one website now. I suspected all the free downloads would disappear when their anniversary celebrations were over. It's really too bad that they aren't maintaining our accounts and seem to be starting the process all over again! Tom
  7. @2Hill You will have to contact JLS directly to sort out the problems. There are links on his site to email him or contact him. Tom
  8. Grind a slot in the front of the foot. Tom
  9. Sorry to hear that. Makes waiting a week for land based repairs seem insignificant! Wonder how much traffic they are able to move to satellite communications? I recall another submarine cable fault a few months ago where all cable communication was cut. They moved to satellite but had a very limited channel, so only telephone communication was available for some time. Tom
  10. @AlbertoE Moved your post to Leather Sewing Machines. You'll get more help here. You need to provide more information for someone to be able to help you. What are you sewing, how thick, what needle and thread size? Have you cleaned out around the bobbin and hook? Maybe even a photo or two showing how far through the cycle before it gets hard to turn. Is the needle just starting to rise when it gets hard to turn? Providing this info and any other oddity that you notice will help others help you. Tom
  11. You could also post this in "Help Wanted". Each post requires a moderator's approval before it can be seen by the public. So sometimes can seem like it takes us a while to get a notification and approve it. Tom
  12. Locked and archived in "Old/Sold". A moderator or admin has to do this for you. You can send a PM or report the post with a comment. We try to catch for sale posts when the OP posts the items are sold. But we miss some too! Some day I should go through and sort by date and archive the "dead" items. Tom
  13. All you need to do to post more photos is to take the time and effort to reduce the photos file size. There are several options as to how to do it. Read this post and the following posts to see some of them. I have merged your posts into one thread! Tom
  14. @bryan4christ Moved o leather sewing machines. Tom
  15. @strykerleather Moved your post to leather dyes .... etc. Have you done a search in this area? I have seen a number of posts/threads about pro dyes. Take a look and see. Tom
  16. If people can't behave properly here, I will start issuing warnings which can lead to you having all your posts moderated or have you blocked. Let's keep this site informative and peaceful. I have hidden a number of posts here to try to moderate this thread. More badmouthing will not be tolerated. Tom
  17. @jimi Even though this is not a leather machine, I'm still moving it to leather sewing machines for 2 reasons. All posts in Help Wanted require moderator approval before they can be seen by other members More sewing machine people will see it here than in help wanted so your chances of getting some good information and help will be much improved. Looks like an interesting machine. I remember seeing pennants when I was a youngster with this type of chain stitching. You might be able to contact some of the pennants and emblems manufacturers that might have people with experience using these machines. Good luck! Tom
  18. @DeeDesign With the old clutch motors, you need to slip the clutch like you do with a car with a standard transmission. Takes practice to be able to regulate the resulting speed. For me, I would get a servo motor which is variable speed. Also I moved this to the Leather Sewing Machine area. Tom
  19. @RevMoore For info on resizing photos, read this post and some of the following posts for software or web based tools to resize. Tom
  20. When the edit period expires and you need something fixed, either report the post with a description or PM a moderator with the same info. I had seen the post but had not read it, or I would have gotten to it much sooner! Tom
  21. Moved to leather sewing machines Tom
  22. @WillAir Moved your post to "Leather Sewing Machines". All help wanted posts require approval of a moderator before they become visible to the users here, and are typically similar to help wanted ads in the newspaper classifieds. Tom
  23. Moved to all about us and off topic since it has nothing to do with holster making. Tom
